SHORT DESCRIPTION

Join Major League Soccer's Summer Intern Program to collaborate on projects aimed at enhancing club performance and driving fanbase growth over a 10-week period.

Overview:
Major League Soccer (MLS) seeks innovative, talented, and passionate students to contribute to the growth of Soccer in North America.

The Club Performance Group drives the growth of our business and our fanbase at local and national levels by driving collaboration, best practices, innovation, and solutions across our Clubs and the league. The group serves as an in-house advisory resource, working in close partnership with club leadership on business operations, including ticketing, sponsorship, media, content, marketing, business intelligence and fan development.

Located at the League Office Headquarters in New York City, the Summer Intern Program is a 10-week program that runs from June 3rd-August 5th. Interns will be a part of an inclusive culture that encourages teamwork and collaboration, values diversity and promotes creativity.
Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the Club Performance Group overarching goal of serving clubs and driving performance, to improve top-line and bottom-line financial results via fanbase growth, capitalizing on revenue opportunities, leveraging cost savings, and driving improved financial results across the club ecosystem.
  • Own and lead an end-to-end Club Performance project that will be completed over the 10-week internship and presented to the Club Performance Group and relevant league stakeholders.
  • Research and develop case studies on Club initiatives across various business areas to provide Clubs with best practices across the MLS, other leagues, and relevant industries.
  • Manage agendas and schedules for key department and cross-departmental meetings within the Club Performance Group.
  • Develop programming for key League meetings, including the Monthly Chief Business Officer (“CBO”) Call and 2025 MLS All-Star Game CBO Meeting.
  • Support priority Club Performance projects across ticketing, sponsorship, and marketing through research, analysis, and execution.

  • Currently enrolled in a post-graduate program


REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
  • High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Must commit to attend full 10-week program
  • Bilingual in Spanish or French a plus

TOTAL REWARDS

Major League Soccer offers an hourly salary of $20 based on a 40-hour work week.
