Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, experience in event management or email marketing, basic financial management skills, ability to work collaboratively, and familiarity with 4-H or Extension programs is a plus. Requires clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Criminal Background Check.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Are you organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about youth development? Join our team as a 4-H Event Support Specialist and play a vital role in helping our 4-H educators deliver exceptional youth programs. This position is responsible for supporting the creation and management of event registration sites and providing excellent customer service for 4-H and Extension youth events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather event data to build registration sites and manage event logistics.
- Create and maintain 4-H and Extension youth event registration sites.
- Provide support for participant inquiries and manage cancellations.
- Process refunds for canceled registrations and events; manage financial reports to ensure accurate distribution of registration funds.
- Design and send email campaigns to promote events.
- Build targeted audience lists for event promotion.
- Create pre- and post-event email communications for registrants.
- Develop website promotions for external youth events.
- Collaborate with program event leaders to fulfill reporting needs.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with event management and/or email marketing platforms
- Experience with basic financial management tasks, such as processing refunds.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and independently manage tasks.
- Familiarity with 4-H or Extension programs is a plus.
