Academic Project Manager
LOCATION
Hybrid (1-day remote weekly, must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex)
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree with five years of relevant experience, including two years in a college or university setting. Preferred experience in Higher Education, strong communication, project management, and presentation skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and analyze student data, assist with departmental processes, support event planning and marketing, coordinate website updates, and collaborate on projects related to student leadership and development.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Academic Project Manager will lead academic projects, working closely with the Dean and various departments to enhance student engagement and academic success.
- Experience working in Higher Education.
- Adaptable and able to quickly and effectively develop and balance multiple relationships, and get results from a variety of people
- Presentation and facilitation skills
- Project and time management skills
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong initiative, drive for results, and self-assessment skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of social media and familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Comfortable working with youth and adults
- Ability to create professional flyers for various events
- Strong interpersonal skills, customer relationship management skills, and flexibility
- Collect, manage and summarize data and records associated with student academic performance, internships and full-time job placements.
- Assists in data analysis and regular report generation which may include rankings, exit surveys, and job placement reports.
- Assists with departmental processes such as syllabi review, assessment data collection, and email communication with students.
- Assist with event planning for current students and prospective students. This includes planning student mixers, info sessions, and other outreach activities. This also includes planning/scheduling for summer camps.
- Assist in preparing marketing materials/flyers for various events.
- Coordinate website updates and tracking which include Search Engine Optimization and content management.
- Work closely with Program support staff on course progression maps, 4-year degree plans, and special sessions.
- Work closely with various departments and support processes related to academic policies such as academic standing.
- Work closely with the Undergraduate Dean on projects related to student leadership and development such as the Undergraduate Dean’s Council, Living Learning Communities, etc.
A hybrid remote work schedule may be available (currently 1-day remote weekly). Employees must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time.
