About the Columbia Fireflies:
The Columbia Fireflies are a part of Hardball Capital which also owns the Chattanooga Lookouts (AA Minnesota Twins Affiliate) and the Fort Wayne TinCaps (A San Diego Padres Affiliate.) The Fireflies began play in the spring of 2016 at Segra Park, in Columbia, South Carolina. The Fireflies are the Class-A, Kansas City Royals affiliate of the Low A East whose season begins in April and concludes in end of August. The franchise was awarded 2024 Single A Organization of the Year.

Reports to: Director of Ticket Sales
Position Summary:
Account Manager, Ticket Sales is responsible with the selling of Fireflies Season Memberships, Half Season Memberships, Partial Plan Memberships, Premium Seating, Picnics, Luxury Suites, and Group Tickets of 20 or more people. Additional sales responsibilities include selling our Lexington Medical Center Be Well Picnic Pavilion, BMW of Columbia Balcony, and Concourse Suites.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following are examples of the various functions required. The job requirements are not limited to the items on this list.
1. Prospect new sales opportunities through the sale of Columbia Fireflies Full Season Memberships and Premium Seating.
2. Prospect new sales opportunities through the sale of Columbia Fireflies Half Season Memberships and Partial Plan Memberships.
3. Sell Columbia Fireflies group ticket packages in our picnic areas through the sale of Picnics, Lexington Medical Center Be Well Picnic Pavilion, BMW of Columbia Balcony, and Concourse Suites.
4. Sell individual game luxury suites to businesses and individuals in the Columbia and Midlands community.
5. Generates sales opportunities through telemarketing, by making 40 calls a day.
6. Build loyalty and develop strong meaningful relationships by setting five face to face meetings a week at Segra Park or out of the office at the businesses or organizations in our community.
7. Develop and maintain detailed call logs in Score CRM database for communicating with prospects and customers on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
8. Disseminate all pertinent information to prospects and customers such as tickets, account information, advisory sheets, health & safety information, and vouchers for all groups in a timely manner prior to the event date.
9. Must be eager and willing to work with other team members within our franchise.
10. Work with the Director of Ticket Sales to establish individual sales goals and annual organizational goals.
11. Push ourselves to change, innovate, and evolve through monthly one on ones with the Director of Ticket Sales.
12. Must be eager and willing to work with other team members on our staff.
13. Be prepared, Be present, and Actively participate in our Columbia Fireflies Ticket Sales and Service training program.
14. Provide world class customer service to all customers and assist them throughout our renewal process.
15. Work as needed, extended and/or irregular hours, events which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
16. Assist with inbound phone calls in the ticket office as needed.
17. Collaborate with other team members and departments across functions to drive business results.
18. Visit clients and work Sales Tables during Fireflies home games/events and attend networking functions such as luncheons, networking events, and community events.
19. Keep accurate records for all accounts to ensure all payments are paid in full.
20. Coordinate with Food and Beverage team to ensure all orders are delivered on time.

Education and/or Experience:
Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related Ticket Sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicants within market sales experience is preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, create mini business plans, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
