QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of two years of related experience; preferred qualifications include two or more years of frontline fundraising experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
Seeking an innovative fundraising professional to secure funding for Student Success priorities at the University of Utah, especially merit-based and need-based scholarships.
- Strive to meet University-wide advancement metrics including connecting with 12-15 contacts per month, 30 qualifying visits, soliciting 20 major gifts and closing 8-12 major gifts or more through the year to secure annual fundraising goals.
- Maintain a portfolio of leadership and major gift donors. Research potential donors, and make direct solicitations to alumni, friends, foundations, and corporations on behalf of the University through face-to-face interactions and grant proposals. Ensure fundraising efforts are donor centric.
- Adhere to University’s prospect management standards, track donor relationships and file contact reports.
- Modeling the One U mission, collaborate closely with campus partners, and build a culture of trust with the various departments, centers, and organizations this team supports.
- Support the efforts of the entire donor engagement process including annual giving efforts and stewardship campaigns as assigned.
- Work in partnership with associate directors, marketing and communications director, and other university staff to understand priorities, projects and goals.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (One year of education is equivalent to two years of experience).

- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
