Amba 2025 Internship Opportunities
LOCATION
Internship positions available in Austin, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Urbandale, IA; and Salt Lake City, UT.
QUALIFICATIONS
Students entering their junior or senior year of college with a 3.0+ GPA, pursuing degrees related to the internship opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Interns will collaborate with employees and management on project-based roles, culminating in a final presentation of their findings to executive leadership at the end of the program.

AMBA is offering a 10-week internship program for students to gain hands-on experience in various departments, providing essential coverage to retired public servants nationwide.

About the Program
The AMBA Internship Program allows a diverse and skillful group of students to gain exposure to a real-world setting in corporate America through project-based roles in various departments and locations. This is a 10-week program running June through August 2025 based out of the office. Our offices are in Austin, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Urbandale, IA, and Salt Lake City, UT. Our 2025 internship opportunities are listed below.
Students will work with various employees and company management to complete a project. At the end of the summer, they will travel to the main office and present their findings to other interns and executive leadership.

Intern OpportunitiesPeople Operations/Compliance
Human Resources Intern: (Urbandale, IA)
- The primary project of the 2025 HR Intern is to ensure accuracy and consistency in employee data housed in Paylocity and in electronic personnel files.
Legal and Compliance Intern: (Phoenix, AZ)
- The primary project of the 2025 Legal and Compliance Intern is to work alongside the compliance team and other business units to review our current processes.
Business
P&C Operations Intern: (Urbandale, IA)
- The primary project of the 2025 Property & Casualty Operations Intern is to work alongside our Business Process Specialist and leadership team to identify areas for improvement, document processes, and implement solutions in the insurance industry.
Product and Carrier Intern: (Urbandale, IA)
- The primary role of the 2025 Product & Carrier Relations Intern is to develop a competitive intelligence database and sales playbook/rebuttal list based on where our carrier partners win versus the competition in the insurance industry.
Training & Development Intern: (Austin, TX)
- The primary project of the 2025 Training & Development Intern is to work alongside managers and department leaders to create interactive training content related to product knowledge, association relations, call best practices, business & presentation best practices.
Relationship Management Intern: (Urbandale, IA)
- The primary project for the 2025 Relationship Management Intern will be to help us explore alternative channels to grow our Vertical and gain stronger insights into our core markets while exploring adjacencies such as staffing agencies, businesses that deliver professional education to our vertical, Influencers, and other non-traditional business that have a place in our Professional Occupations vertical.
Contact Center Intern: (Austin, TX)
- The primary project of the 2025 Call Center Sales Intern is to work alongside managers and department leaders to gather disparate knowledge sources and consolidate for our call center teams and store the corresponding product, association, call scripting, call recording best practices, job aids into one centralized location.
Business Process Analysis Intern: (Urbandale, IA)
- The primary project for the 2025 Business Process Analysis Intern will be to partner with SVP of Customer Service Operations and call center team to assist in tactical work and reporting analysis required to advance projects relating to OneAMBA Service, and develop insights into how Service Operations strategizes, uses technology to maintain performance excellence and member feedback targets.
Finance
Finance Intern: (Austin, TX)- 2 positions available.
- The primary project for the 2025 Finance Interns will be to help us get ready for the 2025 budget process, including organizing historical data and building templates for departments to use during the process.
Marketing & Media
Growth and Digital Support Intern: (Urbandale, IA)
- The primary project for the 2025 Growth Marketing and Digital Support Intern will be to support high-impact projects that create a framework for growth, establish a standardized reporting package, and strengthen brand consistency. This position offers hands-on experience in digital marketing analytics, growth plan development, and brand management.
Digital Marketing Intern: (Salt Lake City, UT)
- The primary project for the 2025 Digital Marketing Intern will be to work directly on client projects and tasks, gaining hands-on experience in SEO, content marketing, and organic social media. This role will provide real-world, task-based training that aligns with our standards for client work and results.
IT
Information Technology Intern: (Urbandale, Iowa)
- The primary project of the 2025 IT Intern will be to learn how IT projects are managed at AMBA and assist with project management activities for some key IT projects, including status, timeline, issues, and risk assessment.
- Work out of an AMBA office for 4 days out of the week, working remotely on Fridays. (AMBA does not provide accommodation or relocation)
- 3.0+ GPA
- Pursuing a degree in a field related to requested internship opportunity.
- Eager to learn and dedicate their summer towards a growing company.
