QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Health Services Administration/Management preferred; 3-5 years of managerial experience in a healthcare facility, preferably in a surgery setting; knowledge of AAAHC and CMS regulations; excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Oversee administrative operations of the Ambulatory Surgery Center; ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid regulations; manage staff and operational budgets; facilitate meetings; coordinate and report patient services; market the center; resolve complaints; and collaborate with vendors and medical staff.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
Looking for an ASC Manager to lead the operations of an Ambulatory Surgery Center, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing staff, and overseeing operational budgets while maintaining high standards of patient care and service.
- Troubleshoots operational issues and implements corrective action plans in a timely manner.
- Coordinates continuing education and in-services for staff, delegating as necessary.
- Ensures staffing levels meet the demands of the Center.
- Delegates responsibilities and duties to personnel, both professional and non-professional.
- Acts as the liaison between employees and medical staff.
- Facilitates credentialing of medical staff in conjunction with the credentialing coordinator and Medical Director.
- Analyzes and evaluates patient services on an ongoing basis consistent with tenets of QAPI program and risk management plan for the Center.
- Coordinates all Medical Executive Committee, Governing Board, Staff, Management, and QAPI meetings.
- Delegates QAPI activities to appropriate personnel.
- Reports ASC operations to management team.
- Responsible for ASCA benchmarking, CMS reporting, NHSN reporting, QI studies, AAAHC surveys, and all other required regulatory inspections.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of operating policies and procedures.
- Monitors operating expenses and implements cost-conscious operating initiatives to fulfill budgetary targets.
- Supervises, manages, and directs all aspects of operations within Ambulatory Surgery Center including all related activities of the front desk.
- Supervises all administrative staff to include training, orientation, performance assessment/evaluation, and assignment of work.
- Monitors O.R. expenditures to fulfill budgetary targets.
- Participates in research, including QAPI analyses, focused on compliance with regulations, policies and procedures.
- Completes performance appraisal evaluations for administrative staff.
- Collaborates with marketing and physician liaison in recruiting physicians.
- Market and represent PSV-ASC to community.
- Resolve patient/family complaints, physician complaints, and staff complaints.
- Work with various vendors and reps in purchasing and negotiating contracts.
- Responsible for hiring, terminating, coaching, disciplining of staff members.
- Collaborate with Children’s and Inova for resources (Care Connections for Children, borrowing/loaning instruments and equipment, process improvement changes, and etc.)
- Understanding of AAAHC and CMS regulations and experience in regulatory surveys.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of managerial experience in a health care facility, preferably in a surgery setting.
- Requires knowledge of: health care accounting and finance, health care management, personnel management, business office operations, medical records, materials management, statistics, principles and methods involved in field education and orientation, evaluation and supervision, organization, structure.
- Requires a thorough knowledge of management in healthcare
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Possesses self-initiative, creativity, and motivation.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot conflicts.
- Ability to work with the physician and management team.
- Customer service skills.
- Command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Develops and implements strategic action plans as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Services Administration / Management preferred; Graduate Management Degree desirable and/ or equivalent experience
