Job Summary:
The Area Manager oversees the operations of multiple janitorial accounts within a designated area in Arizona. This role ensures customer satisfaction, manages staff performance, and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
The Area Manager acts as the primary liaison between clients and the company, maintaining operational excellence and driving business growth.
Operations Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of janitorial services across multiple accounts, ensuring all work meets quality and client expectations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to cleaning standards, safety protocols, and company guidelines.
- Manage schedules, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure timely completion of all tasks.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain strong client relationships to ensure contract retention and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients to review performance and gather feedback.
- Recruit, train, and manage janitorial staff, ensuring they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
- Monitor employee performance, provide coaching, and address disciplinary issues as needed.
- Create and manage work schedules to ensure proper coverage at all locations.
- Monitor expenses and ensure operations stay within budget.
- Order and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment for each location.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and OSHA safety standards.
- Conduct safety training and implement practices to minimize workplace accidents.
- Prepare and submit reports on operational performance, staffing, and client satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with senior management to discuss challenges, progress, and opportunities for improvement.
- Identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients or acquire new accounts within the area.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support business growth initiatives.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably in the janitorial or facility services industry.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and products.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other management software.
