Seeking an Art Director/Visual Designer proficient in typography and presentation design to create visually appealing marketing materials and enhance client communications within Merkle's Experience Design community.

Job Description:

We are looking for an Art Director/ Visual Designer with typography and presentation deck design experience, and an ability to challenge the misnomer that PowerPoint is not for designers. You will report to an Associate Creative Director. Please note that a digital portfolio is required.

If you swoon over publication design and relish long-form content that flexes your typography and design skills, love the challenge of creating visually engaging and easy to navigate marketing reports, pushing the creative limits in PowerPoint, transforming data tables into engaging visuals for analysts and CMOs alike, interpreting brand guidelines to create visual systems like layouts, color palettes, and other visual elements for a diverse set of brands, you're a great fit for this role. The Information Design studio lives within Merkle's Experience Design community and works similarly to an in-house creative team. We specialize in marketing communications and partner with subject matter experts across Merkle to enhance our client business communications. Our common deliverables include consulting and trend reports, RFPs, concept pitches, KPI dashboards, data visualizations, infographics, and product marketing materials like case studies and capabilities.

Responsibilities

Typography, and data visualization skills.
Design presentations for our high-profile deliverables including concept pitches, consulting/trend reports, infographics, KPI visualizations/dashboards, and product marketing materials highlighting our capabilities and case studies.
Collaboration and the ability to be a strategic partner with teams including Sales, Strategy, Product, and Client Creative.
Learn our business inside and out so you can be a strategic storyteller and brand steward for Merkle and our clients. The mission for the Info Design team is to help content creators make the complex simple and clear.
Work across brand guidelines for both Merkle and our clients.
Design and manage entire projects from concept to completion.
Conduct image searches and create layouts based on established templates.
Take ownership of projects, establish direction, and lead peers by example.
Consult with creative leadership, and project team members to achieve project goals.
