Join Virta Health as an ASO Partnerships Manager to drive Health Plan growth by building relationships, supporting sales teams, and executing commercialization efforts to help reverse diabetes and obesity.

Our ASO Partnerships Manager for Health Plan growth will be the connection point and collaborator between Health Plan Clients, Health Plan Sales Teams, and internal Virta stakeholders. The role experiences a wide variety of tasks and collaboration with internal Virta Stakeholders; Customer Success, Employer Sales, Health Plan Sales, Sales Enablement, Marketing, and Product.
Given Virta’s clinical rigor and outcomes story, this role allows for an educational interface with our key external Health Plan clients to pull in more ASO Groups and additional lines of business for Virta.
Responsibilities
As the ASO Partnerships Manager for Virta you will be responsible for building relationships with and selling through our Health Plan partnerships, influencing their sales and account teams and ultimately adding more clients and patients to Virta. You will have the opportunity to execute our commercialization efforts and capitalize on the national buy-in Virta is receiving for our industry-changing and life-improving work with diabetes reversal.
More specifically you will:
Manage the sales strategy for a book of Health Plan business, maintaining collaboration on co-selling opportunities and tracking KPIs to demonstrate success
Foster Health Plan ASO Partnership relationships and drive Virta awareness within their organization (promote Virta’s latest studies, accomplishments, news cycles)
Empower the Health Plan sales teams to sell Virta (Provide regular training, sales enablement and marketing materials)
Establish regular touchpoints with the Health Plan’s sales leaders (plan team trainings, 1:1s, in person events)
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Virta to our key Health Plan contacts for education, content, marketing, legal, and Q&A
Work closely with Vitra’s Health Plan Sales and Customer Success team members to provide feedback and expose potential service expansions to better meet the needs of our clients
90 Day Plan
Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:
Become an expert in your Health Plan Partner book of business
Collaborate on strategic plan with cross functional teams - Customer Success, Marketing, Sales
Begin executing the business plan for success by engaging with Health Plan partners and drive ASO group sales.
Focus on execution with Health Plan partner book of business at scale
Must-Haves
3+ years experience in healthcare or healthcare-related field
Understanding of selling through partnerships
Quantifiable history of meeting or exceeding sales targets or OKRs
Ability to present clearly to key decision makers
Consultative selling experience, including collaboration with an indirect sales team
Ability to proactively manage pipeline and willingness to leverage Salesforce in a strategic data-driven approach
Demonstrated collaboration with internal colleagues (marketing, product, ops, etc.) to support sales momentum
A passion for improving the health of millions of people with the ability to thrive in a mature startup environment
Nice-to-Haves
Knowledge of Type 2 diabetes and of potential competitors
Knowledge of weight loss vendors and dynamics of GLP-1 weight loss drugs
Knowledge of other health care point solutions beyond diabetes
Experience in marketing / sales-enablement
