We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Account Executive to join our busy and friendly team. The Assistant Account Executive (AAE) assists the lead account managers on all aspects of client marketing accounts. This is a trainee position with the expectation that the AAE will learn the industry, clients, and agency operations, to be ready to manage their own client(s) directly within 1-3 years.

This is a full-time position based in our Novato, CA office. The role requires you to be in the office at least three days a week (Tuesday - Thursday), so we’re only considering local candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the senior account leads on client accounts.
  • Help to manage project-based and campaign-based accounts, including integrated media campaigns, digital projects, and creative projects.
  • Help to identify and clarify client business objectives.
  • Develop great working relationships with multiple client contacts.
  • Assist with day-to-day marketing account management, including:
    • Helping to research new clients, client programs, client competitors, and competitor programs and campaigns
    • Taking part in creative brainstorms to discuss ideas for clients
    • Coordinating team calendars to schedule client and internal meetings
    • Liaising with clients
    • Attending client meetings
    • Capturing meeting notes and call notes; documenting points of discussion and agreement.
    • Helping to brief new projects to media and creative colleagues
    • Creating task lists for projects and managing project timelines
    • Creating and assigning tickets in Kiosk’s project management platform (ClickUp).
    • Keeping tickets, spreadsheets, status reports, and plans updated, as directed.
    • Coordinating and following up on marketing tasks to ensure the success of marketing campaigns.
    • Reviewing deliverables prepared by the Kiosk team to ensure accuracy before they are presented to the client or published.
    • Working with outside vendors as needed for projects (e.g. printers and promotional merchandise vendors).
    • Sourcing images from stock libraries for creative projects.
    • Helping to prepare campaign reports and analysis for marketing efforts, working closely with marketing colleagues.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to broaden your skills and knowledge.
  • Attend monthly account management team meetings to share learnings and ideas.
  • Attend and participate in monthly ‘all-hands’ meetings.
  • Complete and submit weekly timesheets, with assistance as needed, to ensure accuracy.
  • Look for new ways to constantly improve Kiosk’s work quality, processes, and methods of reporting to clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

  • 2 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to learn new skills and processes quickly and proficiently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A genuine desire to collaborate with, and learn from, other team members
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, and Google Presentations (MS Office experience will translate)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to proofread and cross-check work
  • The confidence to take initiative and anticipate needs
  • The ability to juggle priorities calmly and orderly and meet reasonable deadlines
  • The ability to work independently, with limited supervision, and as part of a team
  • Great follow-up skills
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferred)

Pay Range: $28.00 per hour - $30.00 per hour
