Support Account Managers in servicing customer accounts, manage policy checking and renewal processes, input and update customer data in EPIC, prepare customer correspondence, process agency invoicing, prioritize workload, and provide backup support to team members as needed.

Job Summary:
The Assistant Account Manager provides support to Account Managers and Account Executives and service to agency clients. The Assistant Account Manager is responsible for support service on all existing and renewed accounts including processing of information, responding to requests, data input, reviewing and preparation activities of data.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist Account Manager in servicing customer accounts including rating as well as quoting new and renewal risks on-line when needed.
  • Manage and oversee RSP procedures on accounts, including policy checking, loss runs and summaries for renewal, certificates, cancellations, etc.
  • Input and update customer and policy information in EPIC in real time.
  • Maintain accurate and updated suspense file in EPIC.
  • Review audits and prepare correspondence to insureds regarding the audit.
  • Set up renewal surveys and assist team in renewal process.
  • Oversee and manage the policy checking and delivery process to insured as directed by the team.
  • Contact insurance carriers on an as needed basis for endorsement follow up and miscellaneous info.
  • Request and process endorsements as needed, including correspondence to insured.
  • Request loss runs from insurance carriers or from their websites outside of renewal cycle or when RSP cannot obtain.
  • Prepare customer correspondence including proposal shells, schedule of insurance, certificates of insurance, ID cards, cancellations, etc.
  • Interface with Account Managers and others to obtain and deliver information, quotations, policy changes, etc. as necessary
  • Process agency invoicing and assist to resolve billing discrepancies for assigned accounts.
  • Assist Account Executive and Team Leader on an as needed basis.
  • Prioritize workload with ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Know when to request assistance as needed from other team members.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability for changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Keep team members fully informed of important activities on their accounts including being sensitive to potential problems.
  • Provide back up to team members when they are out of the office.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Hold insurance license in property & casualty insurance or be willing to obtain within 2 months
  • Experience with EPIC agency management system is a plus.
  • Four year college degree or equivalent on the job experience within insurance, business or related industry preferred.
