The Assistant Brand Manager will lead and manage marketing initiatives for the Home & Garden brands, driving sales growth and brand alignment through strategic planning and collaboration across various teams.

The Home & Garden business unit of Spectrum Brands is based in St. Louis, Missouri with distribution, manufacturing and sales offices throughout the US and globe. Job Summary


The Assistant Brand Manager (ABM) is a key contributor to the overall brand team, responsible for leading cross functional teams in planning, execution, and analysis of various marketing initiatives. The ABM role will support all H&G brands with the development of marketing plans to achieve sales and share objectives. This position reports to a Senior Brand Manager and leverages creative, analytic, and strategic skills.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and support comprehensive short and long-term strategic plans. Lead and manage plans that deliver sales growth for assigned product lines.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to proactively monitor competitive activity and recommend strategic and tactical actions to achieve objectives.
  • Collaborate directly with Product Marketing, Sales, Category and Creative partners in the development and execution of high-quality, insights-driven solutions that support brand strategies & customer needs.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional project teams to develop programs and campaigns to support annual brand plans, new product launches, product renovations, packaging design, artwork approvals, SKU and materials management and financial feasibility exercises.
  • Actively participate in developing and managing consumer programs including creative development, media, strategic partnerships, and customer relationships.
  • Guide agency partners to ensure effective and efficient translation of marketing strategies into activation plans.
  • Manage marketing budget and report on spending results.
  • Encourage organizational and customer engagement, alignment and excitement for the brand! Drive alignment behind brand strategy with senior management and key commercial stakeholders. Responsible for consulting with cross-functional partners and driving alignment across the organization.

Education and Experience Profile
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or Management required. MBA preferred.
  • 1-2 years of marketing or business experience.

  • Able to work effectively across functions.

Work Environment
  • Hybrid work schedule (Tues-Thurs in STL office)
