Assistant Director Of Annual Giving
LOCATION

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related work experience in higher education fundraising and annual giving programs or a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Strong customer service, communication, and Microsoft Office skills are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in building an effective annual giving program, manage reunion giving, coordinate volunteer efforts, oversee the Parents and Family Association, generate reports, and engage with donors to meet fundraising goals.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Assistant Director will support Spelman College's annual giving program by managing reunion class efforts, volunteer engagement, and parent campaigns while collaborating with various teams to enhance fundraising initiatives.
- Serves as the Annual Giving representative at all Reunion Committee Meetings and partners with the Office of Alumnae Engagement to support and manages Reunion weekend logistics;
- Assists in short and long-range planning activities to create and implement fundraising goals and objectives regarding Reunion;
- Coordinates efforts with Annual Giving team, SpelAgents, and other Reunion volunteers to solicit alumnae during their reunion year and attends all necessary reunion functions and events;
- Manages a portfolio of President’s Society level donors and prospects, (currently $1,000 – $9,999 annually and conducts monthly visits with prospects assigned in the portfolio (at least 3 – 4 per month.);
- Develops a standard process for moving donors from the annual giving level to the President’s Society gifts level, including ways to increase engagement with the College; and
- Works with the Advancement Communications and Stewardship team to steward, retain and cultivate donors at this level, including design and execution of a welcome package and special events.
- Provides reports to SpelAgents and Annual Giving staff to track the progress of each reunion class, coordinate, and produce mailings for assigned classes;
- Manages the distribution of reunion class lists, including generating, formatting and sending to class agents and monitor, evaluate and provide reunion giving stats and reports.
- Refreshes the reunion summary report and update reunion chart on EWEY on a weekly basis;
- Generates Reunion Giving analysis reports, monitor pledge reports, and provide progress towards goals;
- Manages the Philanthropy awards reports, including compiling giving and donor totals for all classes;
- Works with Alumnae Engagement and Advancement Operations departments to compile the Blue Note Banquet presentation and scripts; and
- Provides support to staff by assisting with generating all mailing, email and phone lists for all Annual Giving solicitations and serve as the liaison with the Office of Advancement Operations.
Manages the Operations of the Parents and Family Association:
- Serves as the department liaison for the SPCFA Chairs, Regional Coordinators, and Executive Committee Members;
- Collaborates with the Office of Student Engagement with newsletters, conference calls, NSO and Family Weekend;
- Facilitates Executive Committee campus meetings and conference calls;
- Creates all publications, direct mail appeals and emails for the Parent Association with the purpose of recruiting members, soliciting gifts, and disseminating College information;
- Manages the Parent Campaign and coordinates efforts with the Annual Giving Team to meet participation and revenue goals from Spelman Parents.
- Attends all necessary campus meetings and events representing the Parents Association.
- Provides status reports as necessary (daily or weekly);
- Attends Annual Giving, Advancement Relations, and Institutional Advancement staff meetings, as needed, as a visible part of the Spelman Community to alumnae, donors, friends, parents, and students; and
- Collaborates and assists the Annual Giving Team with the solicitation strategies for Direct Mail, Reunion Campaign, Founders Day, Campus Campaign, and Parent Association.
