The Assistant Director of Recruiting for the Executive MBA (EMBA) Program is primarily responsible for the development, execution, and effectiveness of recruiting strategies that promote the program among potential students and drive enrollment. Part of this role will also be to develop partnerships with companies willing to send excellent prospects to the program. A secondary responsibility is to support the development and implementation of marketing campaigns designed to expand the EMBA Program’s visibility, generate leads, and identify caring, creative, and motivated leaders.
This full-time position will be an integral and contributing member of the EMBA team, which values excellence, intentionality, and vulnerability. The position will report to the Director of Recruiting and Marketing, Executive Programs (and work closely with the Director of Operations, Executive Programs) to optimize the competitive positioning of the EMBA in local, regional, and national markets. This position also includes other operational duties, as needed, to manage and promote the program, and support the EMBA faculty, current students, and alumni.
Some evening or weekend work, and occasional out-of-state travel, will be required.
Assistant Director of Recruiting
What you will do:
EMBA Recruitment and Enrollment Management (Primary)
- Develop and implement recruitment policies and practices to drive enrollment growth.
- Manage the recruitment funnel to convert interest into enrolled students.
- Set annual recruiting and enrollment goals to ensure financial sustainability.
- Oversee the prospective student database and software systems for tracking and follow-up.
- Build partnerships to expand program access, focusing on minority and underrepresented groups.
- Review applications, conduct interviews, and evaluate candidates for admission and scholarships.
- Partner with companies to support mid- to senior-level managers in the program.
- Explore new markets to increase program awareness and enrollment.
- Collaborate on the annual budget for student recruitment.
EMBA Events (Primary)
- Organize, host, and participate in information sessions, webinars, and other events targeting prospective students.
- Collaborate with faculty, alumni, and current students to enhance engagement at recruiting events.
- Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, IT, and promotional materials.
- Partner with the Marketing Department to promote events through targeted campaigns.
- Track event metrics and gather feedback to improve future events.
- Coordinate follow-up communication with attendees to maintain engagement.
EMBA Marketing and Advertising Campaigns (Secondary)
- Work with the Associate Director of Recruiting and Marketing to design campaigns that raise program awareness and support recruitment.
- Assist with managing the program’s social media presence across multiple channels.
- Help maintain the EMBA website and landing pages to ensure accurate and up-to-date content.
- Conduct competitive analysis to stay informed about competing programs and their marketing strategies.
EMBA Classroom Management (Secondary)
- Work with the EMBA Program Director, Director of Operations, Program Coordinator, and program faculty to support the delivery of classes.
- Work with Program Coordinator and Financial Director to respond to student inquiries and resolve issues as they arise.
Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, public relations, or related field.
- Four years of professional experience in student affairs, student recruiting or customer outreach.
Preferred Qualifications to possess (Preferred Qualifications)
- Master’s degree in business, communications, marketing, public relations, or related field.
- Six (6) years of professional experience in student affairs, student recruiting, or customer outreach.
- Experience with Student Information Systems/CRM (such as, Salesforce and Slate).
- Experience with the design and production of marketing materials.
- Experience with content marketing and website management (specifically Drupal).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Possess at least a rudimentary understanding of the local, regional, and national markets for executive MBA programs.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff from the business school, prospective students and their families, alumni, and industry leaders.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, while maintaining an exemplary attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Be able to work independently, identify and set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate a grasp of the unique value proposition the CU Denver EMBA Program delivers.
- Significant strategic, analytical, and creative capacities, including experience with statistical analysis.
- Ability to work with a diverse population in a manner that earns the respect of colleagues.

Conditions of Employment
- Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to travel throughout the state for specific events, and occasionally out-of-state.
- This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $79,621 - $88,0023.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
