Assistant DTC Manager

Handley Cellars is looking for a full-time, versatile Assistant DTC Manager to join our team. We are looking for a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as a team member and to anticipate what work needs to be done.
Job Summary
- Assist in all direct-to-consumer aspects of the winery including the Tasting Room, Cellar Club, Ranch House, and events
- Assist in managing the Tasting Room and Hospitality team including helping to coach the Hospitality team to ensure consistent, exceptional, and personal guest experiences that encourage guests to become Cellar Club members and returning customers
- Support with Cellar Club processes while working with the Club Coordinator
- Work with the Ranch House Coordinator to help oversee Ranch House stays for Cellar Club members
- Process online sales and help to maintain website and webstore
- Aid in writing marketing emails, promoting offers, wine competition submissions, and maintaining all marketing materials
- Manage social media accounts to market and promote the Handley brand and experience
- Facilitate the planning and execution of a variety of hosted events and represent the winery at outside events, tastings, and competitions
- Become a passionate ambassador of Handley Cellars by deeply knowing our story and our wines
- Provide an engaging, educational, and entertaining experience to all guests, host regular tastings from time to time
- Maintain and track daily data and metrics
- Ensure all inventory control processes are followed accurately
- Maintain a clean, presentable, and operational space
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Competencies:

- Ability to manage dynamic priorities effectively and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and drive to see projects through to completion with a high standard of product

- Excellent verbal and written communication, with polished in-person, phone, and email skills
- Passion for wine, ideally with experience in viticulture and wines (or an interest in learning)
- Experience or awareness of winery, retail, restaurant, or hospitality environment
- Excellent people management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, e-commerce, and CRM systems; working knowledge of AMS software preferrable
- Spanish conversation skills a plus
- Possess Alcohol Service certification or pass it as part of the new hire training program.
- Ability to work full time, with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings as winery activities and staffing needs require
- Must be 21 years old
- Ability to lift, carry stack, and move 50 pounds
- Be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time

Hourly range of $26 - $33
This range is what we expect to pay for this role. The actual compensation offered will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, skills, experience, and education.
