Join Binaytara Foundation as an Assistant Marketing Manager to enhance our marketing and communications efforts focused on improving global cancer care equity.

Location: Binaytara Foundation, Bellevue, WA

Reports to: Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications

About Binaytara Foundation:

Binaytara Foundation is a leading global oncology nonprofit, dedicated to reducing cancer health disparities around the world. Our mission is to improve access to cancer care, enhance continuing medical education, and foster implementation science research in hematology and oncology, thereby reducing the global burden of cancer. As the largest cancer conference organizer in the US, we impact thousands of doctors and oncology/hematology practitioners who attend our conferences to stay current on cutting-edge treatments for their patients. As a leader in global oncology, we have partnered with local government and health organizations in Nepal and India to improve access to cancer care. We are beginning construction on a 200-bed comprehensive cancer center in Janakpur, Nepal that will transform cancer care for people of Nepal and surrounding communities.

About Your Team:

The Assistant Marketing Manager will join our Marketing and Communications Team: our Senior Marketing and Communications Manager (your direct supervisor), our Assistant Communications Manager, our Digital Marketing Specialist, and interns all working together in our US headquarters in Bellevue, WA. We also have remote editorial board volunteers made up of cancer doctors to help write and review content, a communications consultant based in Kathmandu, Nepal to help with international media pitches, a six-person tech team working remotely including a UX designer, and our administrator at our Binaytara Foundation Cancer Center in Janakpur, Nepal who helps provide impact data, photography, stories and interviews of patients and staff.

Travel Requirement: This position may require travel to our conference/event sites in WA state or outside WA state which may include overnight stays.

Physical Ability: May be required to occasionally carry/lift/transport suitcases/bags/containers containing conference materials from/to the Binaytara Foundation office or another designated place to conferences sites. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required to load/off load those materials. Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The Assistant Marketing Manager will lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of external marketing campaigns, channels and materials for the organization to ensure that consistent, accurate and high-quality messages promote the organization’s brand, mission, programs, and impact.

Graphic Design ~30%

  • Use Binaytara brand guidelines and templates to create printed and digital assets including fliers, banners, posters, brochures, email layout designs, social media images, event invitations.
  • Some short-form video editing and post production.

Email Marketing ~30%

  • Use Binaytara brand guidelines and templates to layout and send bulk emails. (Content creators will provide you with written copy, project leaders will provide reviews, database manager will provide contact lists)
  • Tailor emails for different audiences, such as cancer healthcare practitioners for our education and conference emails, donors for our fundraising appeal and cultivation emails, etc.
  • Set up and monitor marketing automations in collaboration with database manager.

Project Management ~20%

  • Supervise Digital Marketing Specialist, manage interns on a project basis, manage remote graphic designer as needed.
  • Oversee production schedule and team members including writers, designers, reviewers, database/list creator, to ensure timely and quality publication of marketing materials.
  • Manage print orders and vendors. Manage SendGrid, our bulk email platform. Manage Canva, or graphic design platform.
  • Seek new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of the organization’s ongoing projects and events.

Digital Channel Optimization ~20%

  • Optimize Google Ads campaigns and analytic tools including SEMrush Supervise our Digital Marketing Specialist on SEO, SEM, and social channels.
  • Monitor KPIs and tools including SEMrush and Google Analytics.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or graphic design preferred.
  • At least 5-7 years of full-time relevant professional experience required, with at least two years of experience managing staff.
  • Desired Experience & Skills: graphic design tools (Canva), email marketing platforms (SendGrid), SEO tools (Google Analytics, SEM tools (SEMrush, Google Ads), marketing automations (i.e. Zapier) and social media marketing skills are preferred.
