Seeking an experienced Assoc Creative Director to drive creative strategy and execution for the Creator Marketing team, focusing on enhancing engagement with a diverse group of creators through strategic visual design and marketing initiatives.

The Creator Marketing team’s vision is to strategically and creatively attract and retain a diverse population of quality Creators (influencers & publishers) at scale. We scale proven marketing strategies across the Creator community, covering the full funnel of attracting, retaining, and educating creators. Using existing and new communication mechanisms, segmentation, and data, we engage and educate Creators, collect Voice of the Creator feedback and translate learnings to product partners. We strive to empower and inspire creators with content, education, and support they need to be successful through our scaled Creator Education function, and develop mechanisms to promote community among influencers to be inspired by their peers and share best practices. We are seeking an experienced, strategic, results-oriented Assoc Creative Director to serve as the design lead for Creator marketing. This role will be willing to roll up their sleeves and work as a hybrid of Art Director, Designer, and govern our lead agency. Partnering closely with marketing leads, you will lead the visual direction for our brand across all Creator-facing marketing touch points; including emails, affiliate marketing hub, site merchandising, and social (organic and paid). You will adapt central retail style guides for a Creator audience, empowering teams to execute. You will provide design direction and feedback to design contractors (visual and copy), as well as agency resources. This role will also execute design work, acting as POC for larger-scoped strategic initiatives, and jump in for design support when additional help is needed. Key job responsibilities Creative Direction *Set and guide visual design direction for Creator marketing team, adapting central Amazon style guides for B2B creator audience * Offer design POV in strategies and meetings * Lead design perspective in weekly engagement team WTS for BAU deployments * Provide feedback and design guidance when new external agencies are brought in Visual Design: * Act as POC for larger scoped projects spanning across channels * Jump in to support execution if agency is not fully resourced to support * Jump in to assist with ad-hoc requests on short turnarounds Production: * Establish and implement effective mechanisms and processes for design feedback and reviews * Day to day support and training for design contractors and agency resources * Regular cadence with marketing team if any questions on process or creative arise A day in the life Govern agency work Create playbooks for body of work to build efficiencies Design assets Align on marketing strategy and implement
  • Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote
  • Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executions
  • Experience leading creative development of innovative creative from concept to delivery
  • Experience managing creative (internal team of designers, copywriters, external agencies and freelancers)
  • Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
