QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related experience, 2+ years of experience in a strategy role preferred. Strong analytical, communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct market research, analyze macroeconomic trends, prepare presentations for leadership, support annual corporate strategic planning, develop new business models, and partner with brands and teams on strategic initiatives and objectives.

Job Description
The A&F Co. Corporate Strategy team supports the A&F Co. leadership team across a range of functions on key strategic and operational initiatives. The Associate Analyst, Corporate Strategy will be responsible for assessing progress of business strategies against Objective and Key Results, execution of strategies, solving complex internal operational issues, and preparing materials and coordination for the executive team.
This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Conduct competitive market and peer strategy research, leveraging resources and insights from a broad range of functional experts and data sources.
- Analyze macroeconomic fluctuations across industries. Brief the leadership team on key upcoming potential impact drivers to A&F's strategies.
- Prepare presentations and materials to facilitate dialogue with the Executive Team, the Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders (both internal and external).
- Support the development of our annual corporate strategic plan to maximize growth and profitability of the company’s total revenue base and brand/product/channel portfolio.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that are tied to our Long-Range Plan and that the Company has deemed to be most critical to our future growth; this may include working with departments such as Real Estate, Regional Managing Directors, Product, Marketing, Digital Experience, Business Development, Financial Planning & Analysis, and others.
- Develop expertise in market dynamics to identify key trends and appropriately assess opportunities to support strategic direction.
- Aid in development of new business model opportunities to supplement our Long-Range Plan, with a specific mandate to recommend when and how we should address these opportunities.
- Partner with our brands on identifying strategic opportunities, informed by market and competitor research, assisting with brand offsites and global strategy summit meetings.
- Partner with our customer insights and analytics teams which oversee quantitative and qualitative customer research studies, omnichannel shopping analytics, and loyalty/CRM to derive and articulate actionable business recommendations.
- Partner with our brands and leadership team on crafting OKRs to track and measure accountability against key strategic initiatives.
What Do You Need To Bring?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related experience
- 2+ years of experience in a strategy role preferred

- Stays Curious and derives insights from qualitative and quantitative sources to formulate actionable recommendations.
- Familiar in financial quantitative methods and handling extensive data sets in Excel (PowerBI a plus).

- Assists in developing high-level presentations tailored to various audiences, including executive committees and the Board of Directors.
- Proficient in PowerPoint with strong skills in written, oral and listening communication.
