QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Business or Sports Management), experience in fundraising or related field, 5-7 years of professional experience in Division I or II athletics program, and a commitment to the Catholic, Benedictine mission of the University.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Associate Athletic Director for Mission will support the University of Mary's athletic department through fundraising initiatives, operational planning, and strategic mission alignment.
The Associate Athletic Director for Mission is an integral part of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and has primary responsibility to assist the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics with the identification, cultivation and solicitation of University of Mary prospects and supporters through athletic events and relationships. Along with Marauders Armada oversight, the appointee will share gameday operations planning and execution duties with the Senior Associate Athletic Director and the game operations staff. In addition to the aforementioned duties, this individual will assist in the implementation of the Greatness through Virtue strategic plan. This individual must be results-oriented and demonstrate a commitment to the Catholic, Benedictine, liberal arts mission of the University and a working knowledge or previous experience within athletic fundraising.
Desired Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience Include:
- Bachelor’s degree is required; a degree in Business or Sports Management is preferred
- Experience in fundraising or a related field with previous experience in direct solicitation is required
- Five to seven years professional experience fundraising and program management within a Division I or II athletics program is preferred
- Upholds and supports the Christian, Catholic, Benedictine mission of the University of Mary
- Supports the ongoing implementation of Ex Corde Ecclesiae, the apostolic constitution on Catholic colleges and universities.
- Builds a culture of ready and earnest hospitality in the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics and throughout the university, in accord with Saint Benedict’s admonition that all be received as Christ.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; experience in dealing with broadcast and print media; demonstrated ability to work successfully with multiple constituencies, both internal and external to an organization; thorough knowledge of principles and methods of planning and conducting a comprehensive public relations program, including the development and implementation of a strategic marketing plan; previous supervisory experience, preferably in the area of public affairs, public information, communications or publications.
