SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Associate Brand Manager will support brand strategies for Mercury Marine, focusing on engagement and growth through marketing initiatives in both B2C and B2B environments.
- Assist in the development, go-to-market planning, and execution of strategies for Mercury’s internal combustion engine and Controls & Rigging product categories.
- Collaborate with Brand Manager to manage and implement brand strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and communications to support launches and ongoing marketing efforts.
- Traffic campaign content across owned channels and with external partners, ensuring consistency and alignment.
- Partner with the Brand Marketing Director and Brand Managers to develop and execute annual marketing plans, incorporating all aspects of the marketing mix, such as packaging, product launches, digital campaigns, promotions, market research, and media.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., operations, creative, finance) to ensure seamless communication and alignment on marketing initiatives.
- Leverage customer insights and audience data to inform brand strategies and enhance marketing effectiveness.
- Support the development and execution of product launches in partnership with Category, Regional Marketing, Marketing Services, and Digital teams.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on brand campaign performance and competitor activities to derive actionable insights.
- Assist in managing the marketing budget for assigned product categories as part of the overall Power Systems marketing budget.

- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in brand or marketing roles, ideally within consumer products.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in developing and managing integrated marketing campaigns.
- Ability to present ideas effectively to colleagues and senior leadership.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word at an intermediate to advanced level.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for trade shows and events.
- Experience in the marine industry is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-starter mindset.
- Excellent project management capabilities to execute marketing plans and meet deadlines.
