SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Associate, Development Project Management at the Lupus Research Alliance will drive project and fundraising initiatives to advance strategic goals, requiring skills in collaboration, project management, and donor relationship building.
Position Title: Associate, Development Project Management
Reports to: VP, Development
Location: Hybrid or Remote
Department: Development (Advancement)
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000
The Lupus Research Alliance (LRA), the largest non-governmental funder of lupus research in the world, is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Associate, Development Project Management to manage projects and fundraising systems at LRA to further our strategic goals. This will require skills in project management, customer service, cross functional collaboration, and CRM tools. The Associate, Development Project Management will be responsible for advancing LRA’s strategic fundraising goals by developing and implementing projects and systems that drive operational outcomes, create efficiencies, build cross-functional synergies with internal teams, and develop meaningful relationships with our passionate donor base.
Responsibilities
Partner closely with the marketing and communications, research, clinical, finance, and development teams to communicate information regarding cross-departmental needs
Develop, document, and implement project management processes and procedures to maximize fundraising success while ensuring dependencies are identified and included
Partner across Development to manage Asana boards and provide regular updates to key stakeholders
Work collaboratively with Associate, Marketing and Communications Project Management and team to oversee, manage, and execute multi-channel fundraising campaigns and projects while identifying and mitigating potential risks
Coordinate with key stakeholders to help gather and track project deliverables for both in-person and virtual events, maintaining communications with cross-functional departments on event status; partner closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure projects are running smoothly, especially regarding deadlines and quality
Work in conjunction with leadership on budgets and financials to ensure utilization within project guidelines
Assist and take ownership in the compilation of development and operational guidebooks and manuals
Organize agenda items, documents, and follow up of key departmental meetings, as needed
Assist Chief Advancement Officer and VP of Development with other projects as needed
Perform other duties as assigned, including and not limited to: helping with on-site and off-site events, working weekends, traveling for events, and performing other administrative tasks
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Development/Project Management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Asana, and Dropbox
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
Familiarity and comfort operating in a donor database (Salesforce) and email marketing system (Pardot)
Adapts and willingly adjusts to constantly changing circumstances, deadlines, and parameters with a positive and ambitious attitude
Adept at handling confidential donor information
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities
Sensitivity and discretion around confidential projects and information
Strong customer service orientation with a focus on internal partnerships
Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive strategy and measure success
Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive
Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Passion for the work and mission of LRA
