About the role:
A dynamic and visionary individual is sought to join our organization as a highly engaged member of the Commercial Operations and Business Solutions (COBS) team within Commercial Learning and Development (CL&D). The Associate Director of Brand Capabilities will play a crucial role in driving and navigating transformative initiatives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, adaptability, and growth. The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, combined with strategic thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills, and an enterprise mindset, will be paramount to success in this role. Strong leadership will be required to inspire and motivate teams to embrace change and achieve organizational objectives. As an Associate Director of Brand Capabilities, you will work closely with various levels of brand leadership from Sr. Product Managers through Franchise heads, as well as partner closely with cross-functional partners such as Analytics & Insights, Managed Markets, HR etc. The mission of the team is to serve as a strategic partner and business enabler that leverages commercial expertise to provide brand solutions and capabilities that deliver a competitive advantage, enterprise-wide commercial excellence and that unlock the greatest potential of our brands in support of our patients. This team plays an important role within the organization for partnership with brands and cross functional partners to identify, develop and measure foundational and innovative capabilities that drive commercial excellence. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced strategic marketer who has a passion for collaborating to advance strategic capabilities and to influence patient outcomes.
How you will contribute:
Partner and advise Brand, Marketing and Launch teams and their cross functional partners on marketing capabilities such as Product Positioning, Insights Generation, Brand Planning, Customer Engagement and Measurement
Identify capability and learning needs with brand partners
Work directly with launch teams to develop the needed capabilities and business outputs for launch
Facilitate connections and sharing of best practices across the USBU
Parlay marketing subject matter expertise into a learning environment by identifying new learning modalities, creating curriculum and upskilling the Takeda commercial community
Identify future competency and capability development opportunities with brand partners
Collaborate and support the ongoing development and execution of the brand capabilities roadmap
Influence and foster change management elements through initiatives such as community of practice, communications, best practice sharing etc.
Manage resource requirements, projects and evaluate impact
Implement personal development plans and training to achieve business objectives.
Embed an agile mindset and spirit of innovation in the team and the way they work.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum BS/BA degree
Minimum of 5 years of marketing & brand experience through a variety of marketing roles
Ability to influence senior-level management and key stakeholders
Proven track record of leading and driving business process transformation and organizational culture change as well as delivering on programs with complex business deliverables
Ability to set priorities, deliver on deadlines and develop workflow processes and tasks in an evolving, dynamic marketplace.
Strong analytical skills and budget management experience.
Previous organizational change management experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary to lead through change and influence without authority.
Ability to demonstrate strategic and critical thinking, as well as problem solving skills
Strong organizational, planning and project management skills–ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and develop workflow processes and tasks for multiple projects
Track record of successful leadership, management, and development of small to medium, multi-disciplinary dispersed teams. Strong judge of talent with the ability to make tough talent decisions.
Preferred:
MS/MBA preferred
Experience across stages of a brand’s life cycle (launch, growth, and end of life cycle)
Experience with Brand Planning and Insights Generation processes
Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry

$149,100.00 - $234,300.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
