SHORT DESCRIPTION

The Associate Director, Celebrity Partnerships will manage national engagement strategies with celebrities and athletes to promote the No Kid Hungry campaign, enhancing awareness of childhood hunger issues in America.

The Associate Director, Celebrity Partnerships is responsible for leading and implementing national celebrity, athlete and influencer engagement strategies that elevate awareness of Share Our Strength’s mission and initiatives, including the No Kid Hungry campaign, among a national audience. Candidates should have a communications and/or marketing background with leadership experience and a proven track record of talent recruitment and stewardship and building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. In-house public relations or talent agency experience is strongly desired. The successful candidate will bring a strong sense of hospitality and appreciation of teamwork, a strategic mindset with and a tactical approach, creative thinking, strong writing ability and presentation skills, and proficiency balancing a diverse set of priorities that may include—but is not limited to—developing multiyear recruitment and stewardship plans, building No Kid Hungry’s profile within the entertainment and sports industries, planning custom and turn-key activations for celebrity supporters.

This position is preferably based in Washington, D.C. (Hybrid- 2days per week); but could be in Los Angeles or New York City. Other fully remote for the right candidate living outside these locations. The position offers a salary range of $100k-$110k. Exact compensation within the stated salary range may vary based on skills, experience, internal equity, and geographical location.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set the vision and lead celebrity and influencer relations programming, including recruitment, stewardship and meaningful engagement strategies that are mutually beneficial for Share Our Strength and our champions.
  • Coordinate with marketing and public relations teams to operationalize digital amplification strategies and story ideas to secure national coverage in top tier media outlets.
  • Lead site visits, impact trips and other activities that deepen celebrities’ understanding and engagement in our work.
  • Craft and present engagement proposals and presentations in collaboration with multiple teams across the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agencies, celebrities, influencers and talent representatives.
  • Travel up to 25%

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8+ years of experience in talent relations, marketing, public relations, entertainment, or related industries.
  • Marketing or talent agency and/or non-profit experience strongly preferred.
  • Collaborative and creative thinking with demonstrated leadership in developing and implementing multi-faceted and meaningful talent engagement strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong grasp on the entertainment industry, as well as cause marketing initiatives that engage celebrities and influencers.
