WheelerShip is looking for high-energy, agile, and versatile Associate Marketing Manager to join our team in New Jersey! This person will help drive the growth of our inbound sales channels through the development, implementing, and execution of marketing strategy that balances enterprise goals against responsible budgeting practices. This person is responsible for building and maintaining a strong and consistent brand identity for a wide range of audiences across various online and offline marketing channels. Equally proficient with day-to-day marketing activities and long-term strategizing, the ideal candidate loves building strong partnerships, maximizing ROI, and growing and inspiring a high-producing team.

This person loves to be a part of a team but has no trouble working independently; appreciates details and workflow; and gets excited about brand stewardship that drives amazing shopping experiences and builds customer loyalty!

To be successful in this role, you should have hands-on experience with web analytics tools and be able to turn creative ideas into effective advertising projects that attract potential customers and retain existing ones.

Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy
  • Analyze business needs to facilitate targeted, strategic marketing plan
  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
  • Conceptualize and execute on multichannel campaigns across the prospect and customer lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging in all channels
  • Manage content and updates for customer and internal touch points, establish budget guidelines, participate in events, document business processes, and provide sales support
  • Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets
  • Monitor current trends to develop effective outbound and inbound marketing campaigns for the company
  • Collaborate with the Product Management, Sales, and Marketing teams to develop and execute audience-specific campaigns

Tactical Development
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
  • Partner with email, performance marketing, and web teams to design, test, and evolve lead-nurturing tactics
  • Help develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public-facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets
  • Collaborate with other departments to create necessary marketing and advertising content

Analytics & Reporting
  • Analyze ongoing marketing campaigns and assess their key performance indicators
  • Create detailed performance reports that provide information on lead generation, site traffic, and other important metrics
  • Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics
  • Gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads
  • Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimize accordingly

Administration & Management
  • Support the development and growth of marketing department
  • Participate in the hiring and training of new marketing team members
  • Develop marketing department operational policies and procedures
  • Manage departmental financials
  • Review and approve invoices from vendors, support accounting team to reconcile
  • Collaborate with department heads and leadership team to develop working marketing budgets and manage against them
  • Monitor operational costs and track profitability, regularly reporting to leadership
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Lead regular relationship management efforts for accounts
  • Attend tradeshows, representing WheelerShip
  • Coordinate the work of multiple freelancers, producers, agencies, and other outsourced marketing vendors to form finished and polished work

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field
  • Proven success in developing online and offline, personal and non-personal marketing plans and campaigns
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time-management and prioritization skills
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools
  • Ability to learn our product catalog and our industry
  • In-person position, with flexibility to occasionally work from home

Preferred skills and qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience
  • Proficiency with social media strategy
  • Willingness to travel
  • Established contacts in media
  • Solutions-oriented and positive
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, web-based systems, inventory management
