**About the Role:**
As Associate Director – Business Development (Clean and Renewable Energy) you will lead collaborative sales efforts to grow our existing and forthcoming products in this segment, ensuring profitability and continued growth of these products. You will focus on OPIS Solar subscription sales and business development, go-to-market strategy implementation for existing and forthcoming services and products in the clean and renewables portfolio, and help the editorial, product and marketing teams develop our market presence and brand through commercial actions beyond subscription sales that increase our visibility. You will report to the Executive Director of Sales and Business Development.
**You Will:**

Collaborate with product managers, editorial teams, and account managers within OPIS to establish and implement strategies that encourage revenue growth for OPIS Solar, Hydrogen, Carbon and other renewables-focused product lines

Communicate with multiple internal departments about client feedback and plans, and work collaboratively to problem-solve

Be involved in all aspects of the sales process and liaise with our account managers to keep them informed of product capabilities, success stories, and effective strategies

Build and maintain business relationships with current and potential customers

Attend industry shows and conferences where you will create and lead advanced solution presentations that match identified customer needs

Negotiate with the main influencers in the industries we serve to promote our services and increase their visibility

Work with account managers to help maintain a healthy and clean pipeline and forecast to the business on a monthly basis

Create revenue pipeline through outbound prospecting, trade shows, and other functions

Qualify incoming prospects during introductory calls, whether generated through outbound or marketing-driven initiatives

Demonstrate knowledge of OPIS’ clean and renewable products/services and pricing practices and understand the product market position

Travel 30% of the time
**You Have:**

At least 10 years’ experience selling PRA or trading services in the energy sector

Experience in the solar and broader energy sector; energy trading experience (preferred)

Experience determining the appropriate solutions for customers

Experience networking face-to-face, by phone, or virtually

Working experience with Google Suite, LinkedIn, and other sales automation technologies

Successful track record and experience with internal/external relationship management and business negotiations

No restrictions that will prevent fulfillment of 30% travel requirement

Undergraduate degree -OR- equivalent work experience

Pay Range: $95,000 – $120,000
