The Associate Director, Genomic Access Marketing is responsible for customer-centric upstream and downstream marketing to support go-to-market strategy and execution for large-scale Population Genomics & Precision Health (PGPH) programs and pharma partners. This role will include primary customer insight generation, coordinating with global and regional marketing teams to develop comprehensive positioning for Illumina technologies and service capabilities in target customer categories, building long-term and short-term marketing strategies, messaging and tactical plans, and developing account-level strategies to drive demand. The role will require global coordination and deep understanding of customer business objectives, regional differences and healthcare systems. The role will include working cross functionally with different stakeholders internally to ensure that strategies are aligned with senior leadership and drive execution of plans in-step with other programs. It will also include direct engagement KOLs, partners, customers, and other external stakeholders.
Responsibilities* Develops integrated value proposition and competitive positioning of Illumina portfolio of products, solutions and services for Genomic Access target customers, in collaboration with Global and Regional marketing teams. * Shapes offering strategy and helps standardize approach to expanding portfolio of offerings over time. * Generates targeted content to support business development efforts and actively partners with commercial team members; directly interfaces with customers as needed * Continually develops expertise in NGS-based diagnostics, core marketing skills, and facility with internal and external technology development * Co-develops commercial strategy for Pharma and LNGI growth with regional Commercial leadership and Strategic Growth teams and with Pharma BD teams * Identifies opportunities to integrate emerging technologies and capabilities into portfolio of offerings * Captures VOC and translates customer needs into clinical product roadmap * Contributes to account-level planning and execution. Identifies, analyzes, and translates product, customer, patient, and other relevant information to understand customer business needs. Landscapes and prioritizes opportunities and coordinates execution * Responsible for development and day-to-day management of sales enablement tools, positioning and syndication of proof-points to support BU strategy in collaboration with regional commercial leads * Aggregates, standardizes and syndicates data, headlines, and learnings from global exemplars * Work with field leaders, internal SMEs and KOLs to continually refine and augment value proposition and understanding of emerging applications * Ensures that regulatory and compliance guidelines are followed.

Experience/Education* Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience * Direct experience with precision medicine diagnostics commercialization and/or population-scale research and health initiatives * Familiarity with translational and clinical applications of NGS and related technologies preferred * Experience with precision medicine research, diagnostics/ companion diagnostics development and commercialization, and large-scale population genomics initiatives is strongly preferred.
The estimated base salary range for the Associate Director, Genomic Access Marketing role based in the United States of America is: $167,200 - $250,800. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
