Athletics Marketing Assistant

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Management, Communications, or a similar field; 1 year of relevant work experience; understanding of college athletics and sports marketing; excellent written and oral communication skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Assist in creating and implementing fan experience initiatives for CU Men's and Women's Basketball and Lacrosse games, develop student-focused marketing initiatives, lead undergraduate student interns during game day marketing activities.

CU Boulder Athletics seeks a temporary Athletics Marketing Assistant to support game day marketing efforts, enhancing fan experiences and fulfilling sponsorship obligations during the winter and spring sports seasons.

Job Summary
Who We Are
- Assist the Director of Marketing in creating and implementing fan experience elements at CU Men's Basketball games.
- Work along side the Assistant Director of Marketing to create family-focused entertainment around the Colorado Women's Basketball games.
- Develop student focused marketing initiatives to engage CU Boulder undergraduate students and drive attendance to home athletic events.
- Lead undergraduate student interns in game day marketing activities.
What You Should Know
- This temporary position is expected to be throughout the winter and spring sport seasons (January - June 2025). Schedule will include work on both week days and weekends, depending on the schedule of events.
- This is a part-time (50%) position and will not exceed 20 hours per week.
What We Can Offer
- The hourly rate for this temporary position is $18.00 per hour.

What We Require
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Management, Communications, or a similar field.
- 1 year of relevant work experience.
What You Will Need
- Demonstrate an understanding of the College Athletics and sports marketing field.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Able to learn and adapt quickly to a changing landscape.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
What We Would Like You to Have
- Intern experience with CU Boulder Athletics, particularly in Marketing or Fan Experience.
- Familiarity with the CU Boulder campus and Colorado Athletics programs.
- Previous experience as a college athlete.
- Master's degree in marketing, leadership, or a related field.
