Auto Lending - Entry Level Junior Underwriter/Customer Service

Bachelor's degree preferred; previous experience in Auto Finance or Financial Services highly preferred; strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills; bilingual English/Spanish is highly desired.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow up on auto loan applications with dealerships, ensure compliance with guidelines, build relationships with dealer partners, evaluate credit reports, negotiate contract terms, and meet production and customer satisfaction goals.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Auto Loan Analyst will manage dealer relationships and facilitate the capturing of loan contracts, engaging in extensive communication and evaluations to ensure application profitability and success in a competitive market.
Compensation
Pay rate ranges between $17-$19 an hour.
Bonuses
Uncapped bonuses, averaging $1,100.00 monthly on top of base pay.
Summary
As a Auto Loan Analyst, you will follow up on submitted applications that have been approved or conditionally approved through our automated decisioning process with a goal of capturing the contracts. This includes following up on applications with dealerships over the phone using UACC’s common sense lending approach with a focus on Service Excellence to our dealer body.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Follow up with dealerships on automatically decisioned applications in an effort to capture the contracts
- Extensive phone communication with existing dealer partners
- Ensure applications meet program and guideline specifications
- Build strong relationships with effective communication between the dealership body, sales/marketing team, and funders to gain credibility
- Ability to restructure figures as needed including negotiating to capture contracts
- Evaluate credit reports, customer information, and application structure to make sound underwriting decisions for company profitability
- Ability to meet monthly goals for production, quality, and customer satisfaction

Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Previous experience within the Auto Finance or Financial Services Sector highly preferred but not required.
Language Ability
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in person, in writing and by telephone.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desired.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in use of MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Access, SharePoint
