Job Description: Automotive Marketing Associate
Position Overview:
Putnam Family Dealerships is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Automotive Marketing Associate to join our growing team in the Bay Area. This role focuses on driving low-funnel marketing activities to attract and convert qualified leads while managing the co-op marketing process with manufacturers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive marketing trends, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to maximize results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Low-Funnel Marketing Execution:
- Develop and implement targeted low-funnel marketing campaigns (e.g., paid search, retargeting, and conversion-focused digital ads) to generate qualified leads.
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and dealership goals.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics to optimize strategies for maximum ROI.
- Manufacturer Co-Op Marketing Management:
- Submit marketing campaigns and pre-approval requests to automotive manufacturers.
- Ensure all co-op submissions meet manufacturer guidelines and branding requirements.
- Track co-op submissions through the entire lifecycle, from pre-approval to final payment.
- Maintain accurate records of co-op activities, approvals, and payments, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding claims.
- Budgeting and Reporting:
- Work with the marketing manager to allocate co-op dollars effectively across campaigns.
- Provide regular updates on co-op marketing budgets and fund utilization.
- Generate detailed reports on campaign performance and co-op reimbursement outcomes.
- Collaboration and Compliance:
- Partner with creative teams to produce compliant marketing materials that adhere to manufacturer guidelines.
- Serve as a point of contact for manufacturer representatives regarding co-op marketing activities.
- Stay updated on co-op program changes, submission processes, and deadlines.
- Administrative and Organizational Support:
- Maintain an organized database of all co-op submissions, approvals, and payments.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that could delay approvals or payments.
- Assist in other marketing-related projects as needed to support the dealership group’s goals.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in automotive marketing, advertising, or a related field. Experience with co-op marketing is strongly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of low-funnel marketing strategies and tactics.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and marketing platforms.
- Familiarity with automotive industry guidelines and manufacturer co-op programs is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
