Seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to foster relationships within the school community, drive student recruitment, manage social media, and plan engaging events to enhance the online learning experience at Blue-X Virtual Schools.

Our Community Engagement Coordinator will be at the heart of fostering meaningful relationships and driving engagement across our entire school community, with a strong focus on attracting and retaining students. By working closely with the leadership of the Blue-X team, the Community Engagement Coordinator will play a key role in planning and executing dynamic activities and events that strengthen our online learning community. The ideal candidate will be a creative, energetic, results-driven communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at managing multiple projects, and has a passion for building lasting relationships. They will be responsible for creating compelling content and engaging our community across various platforms, ensuring that Blue-X’s mission, values, and goals are consistently represented. This role will involve proactively identifying and communicating the unique and attractive aspects of our school to prospective families, while fostering a strong sense of community among existing students and families.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

● Must have a High School Diploma/GED

● Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University (preferred) -Marketing, Public Relations and/or Communications Experience

● 1+ Years experience in Customer Experience.

● 1+ Years experience using Google Workspace preferred.

● 1+ Years experience in marketing and public relations.

● 1+ Years experience in managing social media for an organization.

● 1+ Years experience in event planning preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Responsibilities and Duties:

Student Recruitment & Outreach

● Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns to attract prospective families.

● Represent Blue-X at community events and school fairs to generate interest and leads.

● Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the education sector, including guidance counselors, parent and community organizations. Social Media and Community Management: Oversee the management of Blue-X’s various social media platforms, ensuring consistent, engaging content that reflects the school’s culture and mission. Monitor and respond to inquiries, fostering positive, two-way communication with families, students, and other community members. Event Planning and Implementation: Design and execute a variety of community-building events and activities, both virtual and in-person, that align with Blue-X’s strategic objectives. This includes planning for key milestones such as student orientations, informational webinars, graduation celebrations, and other engagement opportunities.

● Focus on events that showcase the unique benefits of Blue-X and attract prospective families. Collaboration with Academic and Support Teams: Serve as a liaison between the community and internal teams, including academic and support staff, to ensure seamless communication and the successful execution of initiatives. Support both the support team and faculty in addressing community concerns and sharing information. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate in writing and verbally to ensure Blue-X’s vision and goals are effectively conveyed. Strategic Alignment: Ensure all community engagement activities are aligned with Blue-X’s strategic initiatives and support the broader organizational mission. Promote a strong school culture that emphasizes engagement, retention, and academic success. All other related duties as assigned.
