THE JOB
Live Nation is seeking a qualified individual for a Box Office Assistant Manager position. This detail-oriented position requires excellent organizational skills, professional interaction with management personnel, vendors, clients of all levels, an ability to work efficiently, accurately and effectively under pressure, and ability to complete and prioritize tasks in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in ticketing software, staff supervision and recruitment, and customer service. The ability to communicate with respect and diplomacy across all levels of business is essential to this position. Maintaining knowledge of current ticketing trends in entertainment industry is an essential element to this position.
This position will manage the day-to-day operations of the Box Office Department within the scope of generally accepted procedures and practices for Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Build and maintain events on applicable ticketing system as instructed by box office manager
- Supervise and/or work box office at events as required
- Work in conjunction with box office manager to schedule staff at events
- Coordinate with box office manager and accounting to provide accurate daily reconciliation of all ticket sales, deadwood, reporting, receipts
- Work with promotions department, labels, artist management and/or touring office to place holds, process orders and release tickets in a timely fashion
- Process in-house ticket requests
- Create, maintain, and organize box office show files and logs
- Order office supplies as needed
- Respond to patron issues
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Follow box office management procedures to comply with internal audits
- Act as lead in box office manager’s absence
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
- 2-3 years’ experience as a box office manager or representative, including management level work experience
- Knowledge of ticketing software, specifically Ticketmaster Host software
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Ability to work day, evening and weekend hours, based on the needs of daily business operations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Box Office or similar operations, customer service computer operations, accounting/cash management procedures
- Ability to provide leadership, engage in positive interaction with staff and guests, prioritize, organize, motivate staff, problem solve, delegate, follow-up, communicate and diffuse possibly volatile situations with tact
- Must be able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
