Brand Consulting - Account Director - Sports & Entertainment Partnerships
LOCATION
New York office (onsite Tuesday through Thursday, remote Monday and Friday)
QUALIFICATIONS
BA or BS preferred, 8-10+ years of relevant marketing and sponsorship experience, strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and fiscal management skills, exceptional communication abilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop strategic vision for entertainment and talent partnerships, oversee existing partnerships, identify new opportunities, lead campaign planning, negotiate talent deals, manage budgets, and mentor team members.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The CAA Brand Consulting Account Director will lead strategic initiatives for a significant client in financial services, managing client relationships, team members, and cross-functional collaborations to enhance brand partnerships.
- Develop and deliver overarching strategic vision based on brand objectives for existing and new entertainment and talent partnerships
- Understand client’s business and consistently apply strategy that address their objectives
- Senior oversight of existing marquee entertainment partnerships including day to day communication directly with properties
- Identify new entertainment and talent partnerships that fit against brand objectives
- Develop and deliver compelling written and verbal communications
- Lead overall planning of campaigns, events and activations, working with internal account team, client team and external agencies
- Negotiate and manage talent partnerships on behalf of the client
- Build integrated marketing and sponsorship activation plans, showcasing how digital, social, PR, retail and other channels come to life
- Act as quarterback to lead integrated agency team as requested by clients, working collaboratively with other agencies including brand, media, PR to develop comprehensive activation plans
- Work with CAA Data & Analytics to oversee the management of brand portfolio measurement evaluation including drafting annual scorecard, working with vendors on data inputs and analyzing performance
- Work with other team functions (e.g. Creative, Experiential, Social Impact, Insights / trends, etc.) to ensure goals and objectives are met
- Lead, manage and inspire a team of direct and indirect team members
- Create presentations for key meetings internally and externally
- Track activation budgets with accountability for reporting
- Identify and sell-in new projects and revenue opportunities
- Help grow CAA Brand Consulting network and visibility by attending conferences, CAA events, and functions
- BA or BS strongly preferred
- 8-10+ years of relevant marketing and sponsorship experience
- Ability to travel and be on site at events, outside normal business hours on an as needed basis
- Strong people management and mentorship experience
- Proven stakeholder management and strong influence skills
- Strong fiscal approach with excellent budget management and forecasting skills
- Proven ability to drive strategic vision and business growth
- Strong negotiation skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong PowerPoint & Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to balance and progress multiple projects and project components at one time, on tight timelines
