ABOUT PROJECT HEALTHY MINDS
Project Healthy Minds is a mental health tech non-profit startup. We are pioneering a first-of-its-kind model: applying technology to address one of the biggest social issues of our time: the growing mental health crisis. We believe in a simple but profound idea: that it should be as easy to find mental health services as it is to book a flight or a restaurant reservation. That's why we're building the world’s first digital marketplace for finding mental health services that are right for you.
To do that, we work with some of the most inspiring and influential leaders in America - business titans, tech entrepreneurs, clinicians and scientists, musicians, artists, athletes, media stars, policymakers, and more - because we believe that the world's most complex challenges require interdisciplinary teams and solutions.
We are backed by a powerhouse of industry-leading Board of Directors and Advisory Council Members who are passionate, hands-on, and dive into the important work with us.

You’ll craft compelling copy and messaging that informs, engages, and resonates with our diverse audiences, all while ensuring our brand remains consistent across all channels. You're adept at navigating various writing styles and tonal ranges, effortlessly switching between serious, professional, bold, and irreverent tones, ensuring each piece speaks to its audience while upholding our brand values and voice. As a key part of the Creative Team, you’ll collaborate on a variety of cross-functional initiatives, supporting teams such as Product, Marketing, Partnerships, Events, Donor Relations, and Social Media.
DETAILS:
- Freelance / contract
- Up to 20 hours a week
- Must be U.S.-based
- Remote
- Reports to the Head of Creative
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Get to know our brand voice like it’s your second personality. We want you to own it, so you can write in an authentic, resonant way that truly connects with people.
- Keep our tone of voice evolving. You’ll help refine and expand our brand copy guidelines, making sure they’re tight and on-point for both internal teams and external partners.
- Write impactful copy for everything from product initiatives and marketing campaigns to email blasts, social media posts, landing pages, and donor materials—you name it.
- Flex your writing style. Mental health is for everyone, so you need to speak to all kinds of people, while retaining our unique perspective and brand voice.
- Be a creative thought partner in brainstorming content + concepts for social media, video scripts, campaigns, and more.
- Be able to take the reins. Feel comfortable working directly and independently with cross-functional team leads and designers. Be able to interpret the brief, ask the right questions, and set yourself up for a smooth and collaborative workflow.
- Stay ahead of the curve. Keep an eye on industry trends, competitor landscape, nuanced strategies, and emerging content formats so we’re always innovating and staying relevant.
- Brief + collaborate with our brand partners to ensure they’re nailing our tone of voice in a way that supports both their goals and ours.
- Maintain brand consistency everywhere we show up—whether it’s our website, social, emails, or partnerships—making sure every word is on-brand.
- Proofread like a pro. Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in everything we put out.
- Stay organized using our project management tools (Monday.com), and manage your priorities with efficiency and responsibility.
- Flexibility is key. Since we are a small, startup team, you will need to pivot as priorities shift and new needs arise.

- Live and breathe culture. You're plugged into trends, pop culture, and everything in between—and you bring that knowledge to inspire the team.
- A master of tone and style. You can switch gears from corporate to casual to playful without missing a beat, all depending on the audience and the channel.
- Adaptable and collaborative. You check your ego at the door and work closely with everyone—designers, product teams, marketing, and project leads—to bring ideas to life.
- A self-starter + motivator. You go the extra mile to research, explore, and make sure your work stands out.
- Autonomous AF. You know how to take a brief and run with it. You don't need to be micromanaged.
- A multitasking pro. You can juggle multiple projects at once, balancing long-term goals with the day-to-day grind.
- Creative problem solver. You think on your feet and come up with smart, persuasive ideas that resonates quickly.
