Join Fox & Jane Group as a Brand Designer Assistant to help translate the brand’s essence into engaging visuals and messaging while working closely with the Brand Manager on various design and marketing projects.

Job Overview
Fox & Jane Group is a collective of local hair salons in NYC, CO, NJ, and Toronto, celebrated for our inclusive, kind, and artistically driven culture. We are seeking a creative and talented Brand Designer Assistant to join our team and help bring our brand’s essence to life. Whether through social media, website content, branding, or marketing projects, you’ll play a key role in translating our unique vibe into engaging visuals and messaging.

Working closely with the Brand Manager, you’ll collaborate on content creation, branding, design and marketing campaigns while providing occasional administrative support. If you love design, aesthetics, and the hair/beauty industry, this is your chance to grow with a passionate and dynamic team!

Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Content Creation: Design and schedule visually engaging content, including reels, posts, and stories, across platforms for @foxandjane, @foxandjanegroup, and other affiliated brands, ensuring consistent and dynamic messaging.
  • Marketing Campaign Coordination: Develop and execute marketing campaigns, including email marketing and social media strategies, to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Brand Asset Development: Design branded materials such as documents, presentations, posters, decals, signage, and flyers to support all department's needs while maintaining brand consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Brand Orders Management: Support branded materials ordering, such as merchandise, gift cards, and retail bags, while addressing fulfillment and troubleshooting needs for locations.
  • Website Design & Updates: Work with the Brand Manager on new website designs or website updates to improve aesthetics and/or functionality while also assisting with implementation and preparing assets for developers.
  • Location Design Support: Assist in location renovations or launches by coordinating with providers, tracking expenses, checking product availability, and providing overall support to the Brand Manager.
  • Maintenance Solutions: Provide solutions for locations by addressing their maintenance requests, supporting their needs, and assisting in ordering and implementing solutions to ensure smooth operations.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on marketing performance, social media analytics, and operational tasks to inform strategy adjustments.
  • Administrative Support: Take meeting minutes, track project progress, and assist with team organization, including Monday boards and document management. Streamline workflows and ensure processes are up-to-date and accessible.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience with a portfolio showcasing professional work.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
  • Experienced with web management tools (WordPress, Elementor, Avada).
  • Social media management, content creation tools/apps, and copywriting experience.
  • Solution-oriented, resourceful, and eager to learn from different projects & areas.
  • Strong listening, written, verbal, and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Passion for the hair and beauty industry.
