*This position is remote/work from home and can be located anywhere within the United States. If you live in Atlanta, GA, this will be a hybrid role (with some in-office responsibilities).

Cox Automotive is seeking a detail-oriented communicator with very strong analytical skills for a Brand Marketing Manager position. This hyper-analytical role will report to the Brand Marketing Director within the Cox Automotive Retail Solutions marketing team and will support a portfolio of automotive retail brands and services including Dealertrack, vAuto, Xtime, VinSolutions, and Deal Central, and DMS+. Preference will be given to candidates who live in Atlanta.

Primary responsibilities for the role will be analyzing data to identify brand campaign opportunities and tell brand marketing stories. Additionally, the person in this role will lead several marketing operational programs including organizational and budget management. From time to time the person in this role may also be called upon to help with editing and proofreading content and creative that is used in marketing campaigns and thought leadership programs in support of one or more Cox Automotive brands.


The ideal candidate for this role will be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and visualizing data; have a demonstrated understanding of brand media and marketing benchmarks, trends, and techniques; and be skilled at telling stories gleaned from data analysis.

What You’ll Do

Responsible for management of brand marketing programs, including:

  • Help shape brand media strategies and make recommendations for optimizing brand campaigns
  • KPIs focused on positive movement across brand sentiment: health, preference, awareness
  • Synthesize program updates into status reports for executive audience.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations team to analyze and strategize program results and executive presentations.
  • Create convincing presentations, illustrating results and delivering compelling recommendations.
  • Analyze data to make recommendations and tell data-driven brand stories.
  • Hands-on Retail budget designee for Brand Strategy team. Excellent Excel skills a given.
  • Review content and creative to ensure compliance with brand voice, strategy and guidelines.
  • As brand team designee to at least one Product Marketing team, proof and provide constructive feedback on creative brand assets, including emails, display ads and landing pages.
  • Manage project timelines and communicate with stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
  • Project manage marketing team members and agency partners as needed.
  • Travel: 15%

Who You Are/ Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years of marketing and/or analytics experience. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Brand strategy and marketing campaign planning & development
  • Understanding of digital advertising platforms and techniques like social media, display networks, SEO and landing page optimization, etc.
  • Experience interpreting data into stories and optimizing brand marketing campaigns.
  • People skills, especially as pertains to getting colleagues and upper management “bought in” to organizational programs.
  • Detail-oriented and effective organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint presentation design.
  • Experience with Monday.com project management tool.
  • Travel: 15%

Preferred:

  • Preference given to candidates who live in Atlanta.
  • Marketing or public relations agency experience
  • Experience working with creative design and agency partners.
