The Broadband Marketing Manager will lead marketing and communications for Loveland's broadband utility, enhancing brand awareness and customer engagement through strategic marketing initiatives.

Job Summary:

The Broadband Marketing Manager is responsible for directing, designing, planning and overseeing the communications, marketing, branding, and public relations for the City of Loveland’s broadband utility. This position is responsible for strategy to align with organizational plans to generate revenue, through various marketing tactics to reach a broad range of customers with a goal of enhancing brand awareness, engagement, customer retention, and customer acquisition.

The salary range for this position is $98,800.00- $143,300.00 per year with a hiring range of $98,800.00 - $121,000.00, depending on qualifications and experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Managing and leading a team of marketing professionals to execute marketing strategies and achieve objectives.
  • Develop and manage the communications and marketing budget, allocate resources effectively, and ensure optimal utilization to achieve objectives.
  • Assist in short and long-term planning, development and maintenance for a successful Pulse branding and visual identity program.
  • Responsible for ensuring a consistent brand image and message across all marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Responsible for creating short-and long-range marketing and communications plans for programs and services.
  • Lead overall execution and project management of communications, PR, product launch, and marketing campaigns.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute communications processes, timelines, and dashboards.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements, market dynamics, and market regulatory changes, leveraging this knowledge to drive strategic decision-making and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Develop, implement, and utilize best-practices to enhance and solidify Pusle’s customer experience and prepare it for future growth.
  • Oversees the creative process for publications, products, and advertising. Coordinate with design professionals to ensure overall quality and style of a product fits the needs of the organization.
  • Oversees production of informational, and compelling product-related content sales collateral, case studies, videos, blogs, presentations, and other promotional and educational pieces. Oversees design, review, and placement.
  • Oversees Pulse’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, others) and calendars and is capable of effectively leveraging them for content.
  • Manages and optimize martech stack, Pulse website, buyflow and conversion performance.
  • Oversees advertising campaigns, including digital marketing, traditional advertising, and promotions to reach the target audience.
  • Manages relationships with marketing vendors and agencies, ensuring they meet the company's standards and expectations.
  • Leads demand generation, digital acquisition, and direct marketing initiatives to foster new customer relationships through lead generation and ongoing lead nurturing strategies.
  • Develop strategies to drive increased revenue and customer engagement through upsell marketing initiatives.
  • Assists in development of promotion and pricing strategies for existing and new product offerings.
  • Monitors market activity and gather customer feedback to identify emerging opportunities, consumer preferences within market segments, and competitive threats, providing valuable insights to drive customer acquisition and tailor marketing strategies to different segments.
  • Gathers, analyzes, and distributes actionable data on key competitors.
  • Works collaboratively with sales and customer service teams to provide teams with the necessary tools, training, and collateral to effectively communicate value, address pain points, and drive growth.
  • Utilizes insights to inform product positioning and messaging, driving consistency across the organization around how we talk about our products and services with customers.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products or services and manages the lifecycle of existing products. Working across the organization to accelerate GTM execution and reach acquisition targets.
  • Leverages data-driven analytics to track KPI’s, generate insights, and make recommendations for new campaign optimization.
  • Oversees submissions for award and speaking opportunities to elevate thought leadership opportunities and positive brand identity.
  • Works with City, department, and division to develop PR and communication plans. Develop press materials including press releases, pitch announcements and briefing materials for product launches, collaborations, and other key brand initiatives.
  • Facilitate media interviews, develop appropriate responses, draft and/or edit written materials, and prepare media briefing documents. Serves as media contact.
  • Ability to travel and conduct business throughout the Pulse service area.

Other Job Functions:

  • Respond to or assist with responding to public requests for information or complaints; ensure positive public relations and relationship building necessary for community trust, cohesiveness and understanding.
  • Promotes and supports events with marketing efforts, planning, securing sponsorships, providing community relations, and on-site assistance.
  • Completes special projects, serves on committees, and other duties as assigned.
  • Builds effective relationships with the business community and supports key initiatives by leveraging utility resources for the Loveland community.
  • Builds and coordinates effective business relationships with regional stakeholders including neighboring cities, third party partners, contractors and other agencies coordinate joint marketing and program implementation activities.
  • Makes presentations to the public, Loveland Communications Advisory Board, Loveland Utilities Commission, Chamber of Commerce, various civic organizations, and City Council as needed.
  • Assists with outage communications and PR and emergency response in times of crisis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Marketing, Advertising, Business, News Media, Public Relations or a related field required.

Experience:

  • 6 years progressively responsible professional experience in a communications and marketing role with emphasis in customer service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 2 years experience in a management or leadership position within an established organization preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and or experience may substitute for education requirements on a year for year basis.

Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's License required.

  • Extensive experience with office suite programs, illustrator and marketing technologies and platforms, HTML, content management systems, and any software commonly used for creating marketing material and social content.
  • Extensive experience with marketing platforms, ecommerce, CRM, email marketing, website analytics tools, SEO/SEM, direct response marketing and lower-funnel conversion.
  • Proven ability to analyze customer experience data, derive meaningful insights, and communicate conclusions and recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and technical communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain effective, cooperative, friendly, and professional working relationships, with multiple and diverse internal stakeholders, vendors, businesses, public officials, and the general public even in conflict situations.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
