Business Development Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

The Business Development Coordinator is part of the Marketing Department and supports both the marketing and business development functions of the firm. This multi-faceted position will be primarily responsible for working with specific practice areas of the firm and will support other firm business development efforts as needed. This position works collaboratively with practice leadership and the leadership of the Marketing Department to focus on client retention and growth, as well as cross-selling and prospecting.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP

REPORTS TO: Reports to the Director of Business Development and works closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and the Marketing Director as a member of the marketing team.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist with developing business development plans for assigned practice areas and individual attorneys at the firm, with an emphasis on cross-selling, lead generation, and pipeline development

· Assists with business development programming and training

· Conducts market research related to business development opportunities and competitive intelligence

· Leverages marketing/BD technology (ERM, CRM, etc.) to support attorneys in business development

· Tracks and maintains representative experience for use in proposals, pitch materials, directory submissions, and biography updates

· Assists with post-event follow-up, summary reports and analytics and generally leverages the use of analytics for business development purposes

· Assists in planning of firm hosted seminars, conferences, and other internal meetings, including webcasts

· Collaborates with other marketing team members on responses to RFP and RFI requests specific to assigned practice groups and teams

· Supports the development of collateral materials such as practice brochures, biographies and web content with other marketing team members

· Utilize email marketing software to create and distribute email marketing campaigns

· Coordinates with attorneys and other marketing team members to compile, format, and distribute client alerts and other content

· Coordinates information and content from practice groups and/or attorneys with marketing team members for social media posts

· Assists with preparing practice group presentations and other speaking engagement preparations

· Assists with ranking preparations for practice groups and attorneys

REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field

· 2-5 years of business development or marketing experience. Law firm or professional services marketing experience preferred

· Exceptional writing, proofreading, and editing skills

· Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

· Strong digital and operational organizational skills and high level of attention to detail

· Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and flourish in a fast-paced environment

· Microsoft Office Suite, Email Marketing, Adobe Suite, and experience with digital communications platforms are required

Potential Locations: Bridgeport, WV; Columbus, OH; Pittsburgh, PA area; Morgantown, WV; Wheeling, WV

WORKING CONDITIONS:

PHYSICAL EFFORT: Manual dexterity used in operating standard office equipment. Prolonged periods of sitting. May be required to walk to various areas throughout the department or building. This may require use of elevators and/or stairs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Normal office environment.

JOB STATUS: This is a non-exempt position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $67,000.00 - $101,000.00 per year
