SHORT DESCRIPTION

The Business Development Representative will drive growth for Porch Group by engaging prospective clients, fostering relationships, and collaborating with the marketing team to maximize lead generation in the home services and mortgage sectors.

Job Summary

Floify is seeking a Business Development Representative that will be a key driver of growth and opportunity within our company, taking a consultative approach to building new business pipelines and fostering relationships. This role is designed for an ambitious, proactive, and strategic thinker who excels in relationship building, pipeline development, and executing outreach strategies.
The BDR will engage prospective clients from initial contact through appointment setting and relationship management, positioning yourself as a trusted resource and industry expert.
Collaborating closely with the marketing team, they will leverage campaigns to maximize impact, while providing the sales team with valuable, qualified opportunities. The ideal candidate is an ambitious, self-motivated individual with some experience in B2B SaaS, mortgage experience is a plus.
What You Will Do As A Business Development Representative
  • Drive New Business: Take initiative in reaching out to prospects through calls, emails, and LinkedIn to identify and engage potential clients. Develop a robust pipeline and set appointments independently, building relationships that drive value and trust.
  • Consultative Sales Approach: Utilize deep mortgage industry, product, and partner knowledge to provide strategic, solutions-oriented guidance to prospects.
  • Partner Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with our partners to identify shared opportunities and enhance pipeline development.
  • Campaign Engagement: Work closely with the marketing team to support campaigns, actively engaging with target audiences to maximize outreach efforts and improve lead generation.
  • Decision-Maker Outreach: Research and connect with key decision-makers at target companies, communicating our value proposition effectively to drive interest and engagement.
  • Lead Nurturing: Maintain and strengthen relationships with prospects, ensuring consistent engagement and pipeline progression.
  • Event Representation: Represent the company at conferences, events, and meetings to generate new leads and expand our business network.
  • Sales Handoff and Insights: Work closely with the sales team to ensure smooth lead handoff, providing insights and context to support the closing process.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up to date on mortgage industry trends and product
developments to communicate relevant insights to prospects.
  • Performance Goals: Consistently meet or exceed individual KPIs, contributing to team success by driving results.
  • Lead Qualification: Evaluate inbound leads from marketing campaigns, applying judgement to determine their potential as qualified sales opportunities, and convert them into viable sales prospects for the sales team.

What You Will Bring As A Business Development Representative
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business or Marketing.
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or lead generation, ideally in aB2B mortgage SaaS environment. 4+ years in SaaS B2B if outside of the mortgage industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to engaging, influence, and build rapport with prospects at senior levels.
  • Self-starter mindset with a drive to achieve goals and exceed targets.
  • Strategic thinker who can put puzzle pieces together in order to solve problems and drive positive business outcomes for prospects.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel for industry events and meetings as needed.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales prospecting tools.
  • Ability to adapt quickly within a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset and eagerness to learn.

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member
Pay Range*: $51,000 - $68,000 Annually
  • Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, job-related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.

You will also be eligible to receive sales incentives, subject to program guidelines and approvals.
