LOCATION
Livingston, New Jersey; with manufacturing facilities in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Point Comfort, Texas.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required with 1-3 years of experience in the Petro-Chemical industry or related field, engineering background preferred. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and excellent English and Chinese communication skills are essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate between Sales, Marketing, and Production, monitor product performance, conduct profitability analyses, assist in new product development, manage special projects, and facilitate communication with Formosa Taiwan.

The Business Marketing Coordinator I will optimize production and sales activities while conducting market research and management analyses to support new product development and improve profitability at Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A.

BUSINESS MARKETING COORDINATOR I
This position will liaise between Sales Marketing and Production to keep the Production / Sales / Marketing activities smooth and maximize company profits. Communication, planning and optimization for production schedule of PP/PE plants. Review FPC / Customer product specification to minimize potential quality issue. Execute market research and study to guide new product development with right value added market segments. Conduct management analysis, data mining as well as business / marketing projects for top management.
- Monitor profitability and performance of existing products and services.
- Perform monthly and annual Profit and Loss analysis. Use diverse industry best practices and benchmarking resources to analyze trends and performance gaps.
- Review Annual Goal achievements and propose recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct quarterly performance review reports for salesperson.
- Process monthly department closing review meeting and Sales/Marketing meeting with top management.
- New Product Development Process and Formosa/Customer Product Specification system setup, review, and approval.
- Assist with compiling and reviewing division salesperson/broker commissions monthly.
- Assist with coordinating related departments and compiling Polyolefins quarterly division employee incentives.
- Communicate Sales/Production/Marketing information with Formosa Taiwan.
- Special Projects/Reports management assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in the Petro-Chemical industry or related field. Engineering background preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
- Strong proficiency with the rest of the Microsoft Office Suite; MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook, strong proficiency with MS Excel is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
