Business Strategist, Marketing
LOCATION
Hybrid work environment, with a minimum of 3 days in Minneapolis office.
QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years of experience in business strategy or marketing strategy, 5+ years in marketing operations, Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred, experience with HubSpot and marketing automation tools, strong project management and analytical skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive projects from concept to completion, develop go-to-market plans, enhance marketing and sales processes, conduct market research, evaluate business models, lead cross-functional teams, and build strategic partnerships.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Business Strategist will shape long-term vision through strategic initiatives and operational efficiencies, working closely with cross-functional teams to align corporate objectives with market opportunities.
The ideal candidate will join our team as an individual contributor, and drive projects from concept to completion to shape the long-term vision, driving growth initiatives, and optimizing operational efficiencies for commercial lines of business. As a Business Strategist, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that align with our corporate objectives and market opportunities.
Essential Functions:
- Develop comprehensive go-to-marketing plans and roadmaps to achieve sustainable growth objectives.
- Align and refine marketing / sales (rev ops) to lead processes and workflows benchmarked against sales goals, ensuring smooth handoffs and a seamless customer experience processes.
- Enable marketing team to execute campaigns effectively, efficiently, and with a data-driven approach, including managing the technology stack to analyzing data, to optimizing processes. (e.g., HubSpot).
- Work cross functionally with CIO and IT to implement marketing and sales automation process using CRM system.
- Spearhead market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential M&A business opportunities. Translate data into actionable insights that inform decision-making.
- Evaluate current business models and suggest enhancements or new models that improve revenue streams and operational efficiency. Forecasts market trends.
- Champion innovative solutions and best practices to enhance business operations. Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth execution of new initiatives.
- Develop KPIs and frameworks for monitoring business performance. Track progress against strategic goals and recommend adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute strategic initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and industry influencers, to leverage opportunities for growth.
- Provides analysis and recommendations to the marketing and communications team. Helps shape the brand positioning and narrative while targeting the proper audience.
- Analyze customer data and behavior to guide targeted marketing efforts and improve engagement.
- Collaborate with sales, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on branding, messaging, and positioning.
Qualification
- 7+ years of experience in business strategy, marketing strategy, or a similar role.
- 5+ years experience in marketing operations, revenue operations or sales operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent.
- Experience in Hubspot and the implementation of new marketing automation tools as part of sales and marketing selling process.
- Strong desire to contribute through individual work, which leading cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful business strategies.
- Proficiency in strategic planning tools, financial modeling, and performance metrics.
- Project management experience, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and strategic decision-making skills; anyaltical.

Environment and Physical Demands:
· A traditional work week (M-F) with MDI core hours. Work during non-traditional hours periodically required.

- Works in a typical office setting which includes;
o Continuously sit, use of computer monitor, mouse, and keyboard, standard telephone, hearing and talking.
o Occasionally lift, reach, rotate hands, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Occasionally works in a typical factory environment-including high noise levels, moving machinery, conveyors, dust, and chemicals.
Other:
- Ability to travel up-to 25% domestic primarily, but with potential for international.
- Ability to independently travel by car and airplane for occasional customer meetings and events. Passport preferred for potential future international travel as needed.
