Camp And Events Registration Coordinator (Shift B)
LOCATION
Full-time position, scheduled Wednesday-Sunday, at the YMCA's JCD Outdoor Center.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and work a flexible schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure camper and guest safety, provide excellent customer service, coordinate events, manage registrations, oversee camp website and social media, handle guest complaints, and support various administrative tasks.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
This full-time admin role at the YMCA involves ensuring camper safety, providing exceptional service, and supporting various camp programs while fostering an inclusive and diverse environment.
Full-time Admin Camp Opportunity!
Weekly schedule is Wednesday-Sunday.
$19 per hour depending on experience.
Essential Functions:
- Model the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility; model and put into practice behavior that supports inclusion and diversity
- Ensure the safety of all campers & guests at all times while meeting the individual needs of the participants
- Relate to the public, both on phone and in person, providing excellent service to members, guests, and participants
- Work with supervisor to creatively market services offered at the JCD Outdoor Center
- Coordinate tours, contracts, guest requests with JCD team and collect fees
- Ensure positive guest experience which includes but not limited to food service, housekeeping, maintenance, administration, and program support
- Collect and process payment/refunds, waivers, Cert. of Insurance and contracts for all retreats and events
- May act as program leader, Manager on Duty or act as JCD Groups Coordinator to cover co-workers
- Understand and enforce all YMCA policies dealing with guest services
- Ensure camp programs are delivered to all guests in a safe and fun environment
- Handle and resolve guest/camper/parent complaints; Inform supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues
- Provide administrative support for departments such as answering telephones and assisting parents of campers and visitors
- Assist with late check-in/early pick-up of campers
- Create and schedule mass automated emails
- Help to set up and maintain registration database for each summer camp season
- Assists Program Directors to ensure they have necessary reports including but not limited to enrollment reports, health lodge reports, and year-end constituency reports
- Serves on the scholarship committee helping to process financial aid applications
- Helps to keep lobby and front desk area clean and organized
- Responsible for entering and updating registrations and taking payments in the CampWise Registration Software for summer camp and Group Events
- Create and manage posting, posting schedules, content development, customer service, monitoring and analytics for all social media sites, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube
- Oversee Camp website including ongoing website enhancements, online advertising, testing and measurement of website and other online marketing activities
- Responsible for maintaining and ordering inventory for the camp store
- Follow all rules and safety regulations as set forth by the center
- Maintain a positive working relationship with other staff

- Must show, passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to the mission and cause of the YMCA. Must have an enthusiastic personality with the desire to serve members, volunteers, guests, participants and staff to create a culture of service within our programs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Must present a professional image and possess conflict resolution skills, and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative
- Must exemplify a teamwork approach to collaboration with kids, guests and fellow employees
- Must be organized with the ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality of information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software programs, as well as the ability to use most office equipment is required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Minimum 18 years of age
- HS Diploma or equivalent preferred
Certifications Required:
- Before start of 1st shift: New Hire Orientation training
- Within 30 days of hire or before 1st shift with children (whichever comes first): CPR Pro/ First Aid/ AED
