Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our No Pressure team as Canvassers. In this role, you will engage with the community to promote our initiatives, gather valuable feedback, and raise awareness about our cause. This position is ideal for those who enjoy working outdoors, have strong communication skills, and are passionate about making a difference.

Duties

• Conduct door-to-door outreach to engage with community members and share information about our programs and initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with potential supporters to explain our mission and encourage participation.
• Negotiate and persuade individuals to support our cause through various means.
• Utilize telemarketing techniques as needed to reach a broader audience.
• Supervise and coordinate activities with fellow canvassers to ensure effective outreach strategies.
• Market our initiatives through various channels, including social media and community events.
• Collect data on community responses and provide feedback to help improve outreach efforts.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information.
• Strong negotiation abilities to persuade individuals in support of our initiatives.
• Experience in electioneering or canvassing is a plus but not required.
• Customer service experience to foster positive interactions with the public.
• Supervising skills to lead a team of canvassers when necessary.
• Marketing knowledge to promote our initiatives effectively within the community.
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging a diverse audience.
• Fundraising experience is beneficial for driving support for our cause.
• Comfortable with door-to-door canvassing as well as telemarketing approaches.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $17.71 - $32.08 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
