Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Shopify Cataloging Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product cataloging for e-commerce, particularly with Shopify, and be skilled in managing large inventories for both B2C and B2B storefronts. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire cataloging process, including product data management, tier pricing, and bulk pricing strategies tailored for B2B customers. This role requires in-office collaboration to ensure consistent communication and alignment with our operations and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Catalog Management:
- Manage and maintain the product catalog across B2C and B2B Shopify storefronts, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Regularly update product listings, descriptions, images, and pricing to reflect current inventory and promotional strategies.
- Implement advanced cataloging techniques to enhance product discoverability and user experience.
Tier and Bulk Pricing:
- Develop and implement tiered pricing models and bulk order discounts for B2B customers.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to optimize pricing strategies and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Ensure the website supports easy ordering for bulk purchases and displays tiered pricing options clearly.
Data Integrity and Optimization:
- Ensure product data is clean, well-organized, and optimized for search engine visibility (SEO).
- Conduct regular audits of product listings to identify and resolve discrepancies or inaccuracies.
Collaboration:
- Work with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to ensure the product catalog aligns with business goals and customer needs.
- Provide insights and recommendations on catalog performance and improvements.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of projects and continuous improvement.
- Actively seek and incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders to enhance the functionality and user experience of the Shopify store.
Performance Analysis:
- Monitor Key Metrics: Track and analyze key performance metrics such as conversion rates, average order value, customer acquisition cost, and customer lifetime value to assess the effectiveness of the product catalog.
- Trend Identification: Identify trends and patterns in customer behavior and sales data to inform catalog updates and promotional strategies.
- A/B Testing: Conduct A/B testing on product listings, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns to determine the most effective approaches.
- Customer Feedback Analysis: Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement in product listings, descriptions, and overall catalog presentation.
- Reporting: Generate detailed reports on catalog performance, including sales trends, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction metrics. Present findings to senior management and provide actionable recommendations.
- Continuous Improvement: Use performance data to drive continuous improvement in catalog management processes, ensuring the catalog remains dynamic and responsive to market changes.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in product cataloging, preferably within an e-commerce environment.
- Proficiency with Shopify and its product management features, including Shopify Plus.
- Experience with B2B cataloging, including tier and bulk pricing strategies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work full-time in the office, ensuring hands-on management of the cataloging process.
