About Us:Open Bionics is a fast-growing startup revolutionizing bionic technologies and services. This is a company that is bringing science fiction to life; in fact your first mission at Open Bionics will be to bring a bleeding-edge, world-first technology to market in 2025 after 5 years of development and millions spent in R&D. Not only is this technology the work of science fiction, it has a meaningful real-world impact and can be life-changing for millions of people who have lost limbs. We’re looking for someone creative, a 10xer, who is fired up to take the reins and grow with us at speed as we deliver on 20 x growth over the next 5 years and have global social impact.
Open Bionics builds technologies that enhance the human body. We improve quality of life, independence, and mobility. We deliver world-class care, and improve the accessibility of prosthetic services and technologies. But we don’t stop there, we work with our amazing partners like Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Fox, and The Walt Disney Company (an investor in Open Bionics) to create magical experiences for our users; we worked with Mark Hamil to take a call with one of our users and surprise her with a trip to Disney Florida and produce an inspiring message for people with limb differences, we’ve worked with Hollywood director James Cameron to bring Alita Battle Angel to life by creating and gifting replica Beserker arms to a young girl at his movie premiere in London, we’ve delivered a young boy with two Black Panther bionic arms and a trip to the Wakanda Forever movie premiere in LA, we’ve worked with videogame creators behind Metal Gear Solid, and Deus Ex to produce the bionic limbs from their games for photoshoots with our users, we recently worked with the team behind Moana 2 to surprise 4 of our young users with a Moana inspired merch haul etc. You’ll have the ability to have an ambitious idea and bring about the dream collaboration to make it happen for our users. You’ll take inspiration from the movies, pop culture, and popular high-tech consumer products to build our brand and experiences. You’ll have outlandish ideas that seem impossible to pull-off but you’ll try anyway knowing that we have a rich history of making the seemingly impossible happen for our users.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a strategic, creative, scrappy marketeer to take a leadership position with a huge amount of autonomy and freedom at a scaleup tech company and play a huge role in building its future.
