Seeking an experienced Chief Marketing Officer to lead marketing operations, develop brand strategy, and enhance customer engagement and retention at Phillips Law Group.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead our marketing efforts. The CMO will oversee all marketing operations, develop and refine the brand strategy, and execute initiatives to drive customer acquisition, engagement and retention. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a data-driven mindset and a proven track record of success in growing brands.
In this role you will:
- Report directly to the Managing Attorney
- Assess staffing needs for the department and oversee the hiring process
- Provide recommendations on which roles should be handled in-house and which should be outsourced
- Oversee and manage the following:
- Paid search campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, Bing Ads)
- Google My Business, Google Maps, and NAP (Name, Address, Phone) listings
- YouTube advertising and content creation
- Website rebuild and optimization efforts
- Blog content creation and management
- Video blog (vlog) production and distribution
- Ongoing SEO initiatives
- Social media campaigns and strategies
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs), regularly track and analyze them, and present findings to the CEO
- Develop and propose strategic recommendations to improve marketing performance and implement approved strategies
- Innovate and propose new ideas to enhance the department’s impact and efficiency
Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business goals. Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of marketing professionals across digital, product, content, and brand marketing.
- Brand Development: Build and maintain a strong brand presence in the market. Oversee campaigns that increase brand awareness and position Phillips Law Group as a leader in our industry.
- Customer Acquisition & Retention: Design and execute campaigns to acquire new customers and retain existing ones, using data-driven insights to optimize performance across channels.
- Digital Marketing: Drive digital transformation initiatives, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, and other digital channels to maximize reach and ROI.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for growth. Track industry trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize impact and achieve marketing objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred
- Proven experience as a CMO or in a senior marketing role, with 7+ years in leadership
- Possess extensive knowledge of Google Ads, SEO, YouTube, and social media marketing
- Have proven experience leading a digital marketing department with a substantial budget
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices
- Demonstrate excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple initiatives
- Have a strong track record of keeping staff motivated, engaged, and accountable
- Experience with platforms like Salesforce or Domo is a plus
- Self-motivated, collaborative team player with a passion for continuous learning and professional growth
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and use it to make informed decisions

Pay: From $125,000.00 per year
