SHORT DESCRIPTION

Seeking a Client Operations Manager to enhance client success by managing communications, overseeing sales processes, and driving strategies to optimize deal closings within a dynamic business development team.

Landmark Ventures is seeking a Client Operations Manager to join our dynamic business development team. As a Client Operations Manager, you would be responsible for client success by overseeing day-to-day communications and activities with each engagement (including preparing clients, managing deal visibility and driving opportunity sales motion, tracking key metrics, and helping optimize strategies to close more deals. As a Manager on the team, you will lead cross-functional initiatives from ideation to analytics to recommendations to drive impact across the Business Development organization. Our outsourced business development team is constantly leveraging C-Level Fortune 500 relationships to open opportunities and create deal motion for our clients.


This role requires a high level of organization, excellent writing and communication skills, strong emotional intelligence, and the ability to multi-task across several projects simultaneously while maintaining strong client relationships. Other organizations may refer to this role as “Sales Ops” or “Revenue Ops” - and we would welcome that talent, as well as others with relevant experience, to apply for the role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management & Pipeline Management:
    • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, helping manage pipeline progress, providing regular updates on business development team performance and project status.
    • Manage complex interpersonal dynamics in high-pressure startup environments.
    • Respond effectively to and resolve difficult communication challenges with professionalism and tact.
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders such as sales professionals, startup CEOs and F500 execs.
    • Prepare for and lead weekly status calls with clients to track deal progress and sales coaching.
    • Use knowledge of the enterprise sales process to ensure Business Development teams and client teams are on track.
  • Client Preparation & Onboarding
    • Lead the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring clients have a clear understanding of the Landmark process and sales process.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all client requirements are understood and implemented.
    • Ensure the Business Development team has all necessary materials from clients to fully understand clients’ products.
    • Set clear expectations for clients regarding timelines, deliverables, and communication protocols.
    • Prepare clients in advance for sales calls by presenting a clear outlined use case and sales focus.
  • Project Management & Execution:
    • Coordinate the strategic focus of the Business Development team based on client target lists.
    • Track progress of the pipeline, ensure KPIs are being tracked appropriately, set milestones, and ensure that client expectations are consistently exceeded.
  • Reporting & Analytics:
    • Work with the Business Development and Data teams to provide regular reports and insights on client progress and pipelines, highlighting performance metrics, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Pulling ongoing and ad hoc reporting for weekly / quarterly client business reviews, and providing insights to inform business decisions.
    • Analyze sales data and client feedback to make data-driven recommendations for optimizing sales processes and strategies using a deep understanding of the client product sales cycles.
    • Ensure data integrity across CRM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms, enabling accurate and timely decision-making.
  • Process Improvement & Efficiency:
    • Continuously evaluate operational processes to identify areas for improvement and streamline workflows.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Client Retention & Growth:
    • Work closely with the Business Development team, and clients, to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing client accounts.
    • Lead quarterly reviews with clients to assess progress, gaps, and identify strategies/concrete recommendations to ensure client success.

Key Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in sales operations or revenue operations (or client operations), account management, and/or project management, ideally in a service-oriented or sales-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Sales, the IT/Cybersecurity enterprise landscape, or working with startups is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Able to approach complex problems with high emotional intelligence, while building strong relationships with a diverse group of executive client stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze sales metrics and use insights to improve client outcomes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and multiple clients.
  • Proficient in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other project management software.

Candidates must be authorized for employment in the United States. The salary range for this position is $80,000-100,000. Compensation is based on candidates’ qualifications and experience, and we offer competitive benefits.
