SHORT DESCRIPTION
Emerald is seeking a Client Services Manager to oversee and manage marketing projects, ensuring high-quality service and content delivery while maintaining client relationships in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The Client Services Manager plays a key role in planning, managing and editing marketing and editorial projects for our clients. These projects include consulting services or content assets such as eBooks, blogs, infographics, videos and interactive experiences. The Client Services Manager manages the production, delivery and documentation of services and content assets, and manages client expectations by keeping them informed throughout each engagement and ensuring that they have a clear understanding of our editorial and consulting delivery process.

We confidently balance and prioritize multiple time-sensitive projects at a time, and maintain positive, professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. In addition, this team is versatile, with an interest in taking responsibility for a variety of tasks in an environment where every team member wears multiple hats.
This position can be performed from any of our US-based offices or remotely from anywhere within the US.
- Manage project schedules; track discrepancies between planned and actual project timelines; anticipate and address issues that may impact schedules
- Schedule and preside over project kickoff calls, weekly/bi-weekly client status calls, internal project calls, and calls between writers/contractors and client-side subject-matter experts
- Maintain positive, professional and friendly relationships with client stakeholders; manage client expectations and understand/communicate issues that may affect client relationships
- Select, onboard and manage freelance writers and project specialists
- Edit drafts of white papers, e-books, infographics, video scripts, and all other content deliverables at all stages of production to ensure that messaging and style is aligned with client specifications, concepts are well organized, copy is well written, follows grammar and style, and design aligns with client expectations
- Assess and address client feedback on drafts and layouts
- Apply best practices to perform last-line quality assurance on all outgoing client deliverables
- Work with the design department on content asset layouts and interactive content development projects
- Assist other CSMs as needed in urgent or critical client deliverable instances where the primary CSM is unable to execute and cover team member accounts as needed for PTO and other absences
- Work with account managers to ensure that project work stays within scope and on budget
- Work with content strategists and the design department to prepare consulting deliverables for client presentations
- Calculate recognized revenue on a weekly basis and advise on monthly forecasts for client projects
- 3-5 years of editorial, marketing project management and day-to-day management of client relationships
- Excellent writing and editing skills, including the ability to make fast and accurate changes to copy to address client feedback.
- Experience with, or the ability to learn, project management tools, interactive content platforms and other software/services as required
- Familiar with basic B2B marketing concepts, including content marketing concepts/best practices and demand generation techniques and terminology
- Experience sourcing, hiring, managing and evaluating freelance contributors
- Proven experience working effectively in a home and/or remote office environment
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Documents required
- Experience with Adobe InCopy and Adobe Acrobat Professional a plus
- Available for travel as needed
