QUALIFICATIONS
Valid CPR Certification, a Nationally Accredited Aerobic Certification (AFAA, ACE, or NASM preferred), and valid Yoga or Pilates Certification acceptable. Experience teaching exercise classes for clients of all levels, strong customer service skills, and good verbal communication are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the main contact for group fitness and SGT programming, recruit and supervise instructors, implement schedules, ensure brand standards are met, respond to member inquiries, promote classes, and assist with membership sales initiatives.

The club coordinator serves as the main contact for all group fitness and SGT class programming at the club level.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $22.00 per hour
Shift: Flexible – Day/Evening shifts – Some weekend availability

Admin/Programming Duties:
- Serves as the main contact for the location concerning all group fitness and small group training programming.
- Recruits, staffs, and develops the instructor team for both group fitness and small group training.
- Supervises group fitness instructors and personal trainers who teach any form of group classes (traditional group fitness and small group training)
- Communicates club level with GF and SGT programming to all instructors
- Implements and supervises the GF and SGT schedule as well as other studios within the club (HOT YOGA, RIDE, BOXING). Responsible for all quarterly updates of the schedule and general schedule management.
- Responsible for the coverage of any open classes and oversees proper sub procedures at club level for both GF and SGT.
- Evaluates class participation in all formats and reports data to club management.
- Ensures that all classes are being taught within the guidelines and to brand standards-this applies to all GF and SGT classes.
- Teaches actively on both the GF and SGT schedule to represent the program.
- Serves as the main contact person for member questions/comments/inquires with regard to classes/programming.
- Responds to all member inquiries regarding classes, schedules and programming
- Supervises rollout of new programming/classes
- Ensures that both the SGT area and the GF studio are prepared for classes on a daily basis (equipment and setup)
- Helps to promote classes at the club level.
- Cross promotes personal training and group training to ensure the success of both programs
- Evaluates instructors to ensure safe and effective class techniques and instruction
- Ensures that all instructors hold current and proper certifications
- Responsible for submitting instructor payroll for both GF and SGT classes.
- Ensures proper reporting of class participation numbers on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Communicates and works with the Franchise Group Fitness team regarding both the GF and SGT program.
- Assists in the sales of Peak Results memberships.
Marketing Duties:
- Works with club staff to facilitate promotional classes and special event classes for both GF and SGT.
- Secures class promotional material from designated marketing representative
- Promotes classes on social media through the club pages and posts
- Works with instructor team to promote all SGT classes during the announcement/warmup phase of GF classes
- Assists the front desk and GM with promotion of peak plus results membership sales
- Facilitates at least two Small Group Training special events/promotions each month
Reports to: Group Fitness District Manager
Requirements:
- Maintain valid CPR Certification
- Maintain a Nationally Accredited Aerobic Certification (AFAA, ACE or NASM preferred)
- Valid Yoga or Pilates Certification also acceptable
