Position Overview
We are seeking an ambitious, results-oriented Commercial Sales Representative to help drive our business growth. In this role, you will be responsible for developing relationships with businesses, property managers, contractors, and other commercial entities to expand our client base. Your primary goal is to position 1-800-GOT-JUNK? as the trusted partner for junk removal, delivering tailored solutions that address the specific needs of our commercial clients. In addition, you will support the franchise's growth through lead generation, brand awareness, and community outreach efforts hitting both commercial and residential clients.
This role requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to build and maintain long-term professional relationships.
Accountability Metrics
- Commercial Client Growth: Generate new commercial leads by identifying potential clients, creating a robust sales pipeline, and meeting or exceeding monthly targets for new business acquisition.
- Customer Satisfaction & Retention: Ensure a high level of client satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and addressing client needs proactively, aiming for long-term relationships and repeat business.
- Conversion Rates: Increase conversion rates by identifying client pain points, clearly communicating the benefits of our services, and delivering solutions that meet their operational and budgetary needs.
- Strategic Relationship Development: Cultivate strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers in industries such as real estate, construction, property management, and retail, positioning 1-800-GOT-JUNK? as the preferred vendor for commercial junk removal.
- Revenue Growth: Contribute to revenue growth by developing strategies for upselling and cross-selling services, and by working closely with operations to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
- Lead Generation: Assist in generating leads through various marketing channels, including digital campaigns, local events, and partnerships.
- Brand Awareness: Support brand visibility by implementing local advertising efforts, social media management, and other outreach initiatives.
- Community Engagement: Actively represent 1-800-GOT-JUNK? at local events and partnerships, positioning the company as a trusted, community-focused service provider.
- Content Creation: Assist with content creation for digital and traditional marketing, ensuring consistent messaging aligned with our brand values.
- Performance Tracking: Track the performance of marketing efforts using analytics tools, providing regular reports to the marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively identify and engage with prospective commercial clients through a combination of cold outreach, networking, referrals, and digital marketing efforts. Leverage CRM tools to track leads and follow-up on opportunities in a timely manner.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients. Serve as a trusted advisor, listening to their needs and providing tailored solutions that address their challenges. Ensure frequent touchpoints to maintain high levels of client engagement and satisfaction.
- Sales Process Execution: Manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact and needs assessment to proposal development, negotiation, and contract finalization. Present compelling proposals that demonstrate how 1-800-GOT-JUNK? services can benefit the client’s operations, ensuring alignment with their business goals.
- Networking & Community Involvement: Attend industry conferences, networking events, and local business gatherings to represent 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in the business community. Position the company as the leader in commercial junk removal services and actively seek partnerships and sponsorship opportunities that align with our brand values.
- Business Development Strategy: Work with the franchise’s leadership team to develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at expanding our commercial client base. Use market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and differentiate our offerings in the market.
- Market Research & Insights: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs by conducting regular research. Use this information to adjust sales tactics, refine service offerings, and ensure that 1-800-GOT-JUNK? remains competitive and innovative in the market.
- Collaboration with Operations: Partner closely with the operations team to ensure that commercial client expectations are met. Provide feedback from the sales process to help refine service delivery and ensure operational efficiency.
- Client Retention & Growth: Focus on growing existing accounts by identifying opportunities for additional services, upselling, and renewing contracts. Deliver consistent value to ensure that clients see 1-800-GOT-JUNK? as their go-to provider for all junk removal needs.
- Marketing Campaign Support: Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns, and print materials with a focus on local marketing (guerilla marketing) efforts.
- Event Coordination: Help plan and execute local events, sponsorships, community outreach activities, and capitalize on spontaneous recruitment efforts. Represent the company at these events, establishing 1-800-GOT-JUNK? as the go-to solution for junk removal.
- Community Outreach: Build relationships and engage with local communities, positioning 1-800-GOT-JUNK? as a brand that not only delivers excellent service but also gives back to the neighborhoods we serve.
- All other duties assigned as it relates to business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build lasting relationships with commercial clients at various organizational levels.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex solutions in a clear and persuasive manner.
- Goal-oriented and self-motivated with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and an understanding of lead generation strategies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and content management tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Knowledge of the local market, including key industries and businesses, is a plus.
- A passion for community involvement and sustainability initiatives.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva or Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new marketing tools and techniques.
- At any time if the operation needs you to suit up and help in the trucks (hauling junk, doing jobs - commercial or residential), that supersedes all other responsibilities.

Commercial Sales Representative
Compensation Package
- An hourly rate of $20.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday. Weekends when/as necessary.
- Eligible to earn 2% commission on revenue generated from net-new or dormant accounts (inactive for 18+ months). See attached bonus document.
- Use of company vehicles for company activities.
